Haven't eaten here in a very long time, when it would have been 'The Sitar'. Greeted by a very friendly and generally lovely waitress. She was great with the children. Even taking my youngest to pick some chocolates. As I was part of a group (6 in total). I didn't particularly want a starter. However my dad had ordered a few starters to share. That was alongside poppadoms and pickle tray. For my main course, I chose Chicken Tikka masala, mushroom rice, bombay aloo and a plain naan. Naan was nice and fluffy. As sometimes they can be overcooked and end up like cardboard. Mushroom rice was fine, as well as the aloo. Masala sauce was good, but the chicken wasn't the best. Have to admit I've had better elsewhere. Desserts was abit restrictive. The children wanted 'The Punky' ice cream. But we were told they didn't have any. So it was abit disappointing. We ordered 2 coconut ice creams, but was told there was only 1 left. So I had kulfi instead. Have to say the kulfi was very nice. Probably the best I've had from a restaurant in awhile. For drink, I decided to try mango lassi. Never had it before, although I knew what it was. It was very nice and refreshing. Totally cleansed all the food I had eaten. Couldn't fault the service, it was very good. Prices seemed to be fairly reasonable for the amount we ordered. Overall it was a pleasant evening out.

So happy the Indian Palace said they were closed as we ended up at Indish. Read a previous review that it was unassuming so wasn’t expecting much but WOW! Very impressed from the decor to the service. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive. We ordered samosas & onion bhaji for starters followed by chicken madras & chicken tikka masala and all the dishes were excellent. If we come back this way then we will definitely visit again.

First time ordering from here as it had good reviews. We ordered the Tikka but it was not up to much, bland and watery with a not so nice chicken inside. It was like having soup with rice... The chicken had been taken off chicken skewers so not sure if they had ran out and panicked and put this together but I unfortunately will not be back. The only positive was the waitress as she was very polite.

I love their food, my favourites are the Meat Thali, the Special Chicken Biryani and the Dhal Soup. The staff are always courteous and polite, whether you are eating in or taking away. as I am disabled, I often have to stop outside and get a member of staffs attention to serve me but this has never been a problem, they treat me the same way as they would any other take away customer. My one and only problem is that they don't, as yet, deliver. :(( It would make my life so much easier and I would definitely order more often if they delivered!! At the moment I just cant get enough of their Dhal Soup! I am so addicted to it that I am going to try to replicate it- (sorry guys, its just that your portions are not big enough for a main meal) - if you did different sizes like large or extra large of the Dhal Soup I would buy the biggest portion available so that I had enough for a few days so that I didn't have to come out in the cold and dark to get it every day!! Please start a home delivery service - its badly needed/wanted, your sales would...

Unfortunately this began to go wrong when we tried to place our order over the phone, after many attempts the guy finally read my order back to me but then asked for a phone number so he could confirm the price. He failed to phone so we phoned them for the price. He was a pleasent guy but said his system kept going down. The order was missing a main course when it was delivered and we phoned to tell them to be told we had not asked for the item, we said the guy had read the order back to us but basically the manager told us we hadn't because it wasn't on the order at his end and how was I going to pay for the item now. I asked him to double check I hadn't paid and he said to stop repeating myself to him. He agreed to do it again for the price of the item but they failed to deliver it, when we phoned again he said I had agreed to go and get it. I accept errors are made but he was so rude that despite being long term customers we won't...
