This is a good pub if you're a drinker and tired of local Green King pubs' Iimited ale offerings as this is a free house.
The guv'nor had 2 decent ales and an excellent mild on cask and an IPA on keg. Furniture is functional and basic, not a place for interior designers or diners but great if you want to sample some proper beers in good nick. Mum had a ginger beer and it was a grown-up Fever Tree brand. Tasty.
