MASSIVE EDIT ... FYI - I am leaving my original review of what now isn't the Lotus House in Sawston, depressingly! These are my comments re the "takeaway ' thats replaced it ... Well, i can confirm, lt is rubbish. Total, utterly twaddle. Service is now non existent, food is really quite shockingly bad & they've literally left everything the same, in & on the exterior of 5he shop ... The perfect example of total day and night differences!!
Literally, the BEST Chinese food, from the BEST Chinese Takeaway, I have EVER been to & tried. The food is absolutely always 100% freshly made to your order, and any specific requests you have a happily received. The food is of the highest quality, cooked expertly & portion sizes are very generous, indeed!! Hand on heart, the ONLY Chinese Takeaway that I will go to. Read moreWhat a lovely Chinese! Had crispy wontons (they were king prawn) Sesame prawn toast, The chefs special appetizer thing which is wonton, 2 ribs, crispy seaweed and prawn toast. I had the roast chicken chow mein which was a quarter of a chicken in barbecue sauce and the chow mein noodles. Omg so lovely! They're lovely there! Unfortunately they are moving at the end of January 2022 so will have to keep an eye on them to see where they move to.
Will defo eat there again! Next time I'll try the wonton soup and special chow mein.
