I popped into here with my friend. We sat down, and a lovely server came over and presented us with a menu. We browsed through it and chose the fish and chips, mushy peas, and some bread and butter plus two cups of tea. It didn't take long to come, and neither of us was disappointed. The golden fish was very tasty, and the chips were perfectly crispy with a fluffy center. Mushy peas were very good, too, and the restaurant offered free chips on request. We also had scraps. Excellent service, very clean and tidy seating area. The toilets were very clean too. We will be returning again, and I recommend anyone who enjoys lovely, tasty food in a great setting to come and try for themselves. Cold drinks and a dessert menu are available.

They had a sharing platter for 2 a a special, which we ordered but was very disappointed with portion size at a price of £13. Really only enough for one person! Service was slightly slow despite only two tables in the restaurant. Cod and chips were fresh and tasty. All in all, not too bad at all and would go again, if in the area. Parking area is tight and be careful exiting onto the road.

It's been some time since my last visit so after booking a table I noticed the reviews and had a look . My word there were a few negative ones and tbh it left me wondering if the Boundary had changed hands . My daughter and I arrived to a near empty restaurant (that soon changed) .The welcome was as warm as the heating and were given a choice of 2 reserved tables to sit at . The service was attentive and friendly whilst the food was fab ! I would definitely recommend a visit if you fancy fish n chips but would rather sit at a table instead of a take away . The bill was very reasonable as my daughters' meal was free as part of the under 10s Saturday deal ( sorry didn't notice how long that offer on for ) . Will...

Went here 6 months ago and fish and chips were not good but thought we'd give it another go - wish we hadn't !! Ordered 2 large cod and chips to eat in. The batter was extremely greasy, the fish was very small and grey in colour! The chips were soggy and several were green. The only 'flavour' was grease. The tables were sticky and in need of a good soap and water wash. WILL NOT BE USING THEM AGAIN. Do hope the owner reads the reviews and makes the necessary changes as bad reviews travel faster than good reviews - his trade will suffer badly if he does not take notice and act on suggestions.
