One of the highlights of living in Wheatley is this coffee shop! Whenever I have friends or family stay over, I love taking them down to Bruin for a coffee and pastry - showing off Wheatley's finest! Their food options are incredible and always taste so fresh. Really great, handmade food and good quality ingredients! They have great vegetarian options and are really conscious of food allergies. I've always been offered a dairy free alternative when I've ordered cooked food. My lactose intolerant soul is grateful ;) Really lovely atmosphere and SUCH good music. The staff are always really friendly and chatty - even when it's busy. They always take time to ask about your day and make an effort to remember and get to know their regular customers. You just have to try it. The staff are lovely- warm, friendly and chatty. The cakes are amazing, though my Achilles heel is the scotch egg - still soft inside. Seeing the community sipping coffee and eating cake outside the village hall makes me smile, and gives the place a sense of community. This cafe is that good I've happily sat outside in a raincoat. The highlight of my working at home days is a trip to Bruin. On behalf of the village -...
