The welcome was spot on - I was met as I entered and asked where I would like to sit. When I said that I was meeting a friend his name was recognised at once and I was taken to his table. The service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed: many customer groups included several generations and the general impression was of a place where families gather for a meal and coffee or coke, while at the next table friends meet for a snack and a pint. There was no loud 'music' and no large screens! Parking is restricted, and could at times be difficult. But a short walk back after hunting for a parking place would be well worth it.
