Changed from campagne de fratelli to saporii and now the menu is greatly reduced and more pricey than it was before. disappointing.

We had a meal here on a quiet Wednesday evening before going to the cinema. The dessert menu has been scalped. They used to do the most amazing bannofee pie and now that's gone.

The portion sizes are now tiny for the price. and the price is nearly double. A simple carbonara (which tbh I've made almost as good at home) costs £15. Before it was about £9-10.

I enjoyed the mushroom starter tho. But £7 for one giant mushroom and a bit of cheese is excessive.

The most frustrating thing was the service. They brought out the wrong food for my friend. She ordered the chicken and they brought out a pizza. We had to ask 3 times for water for the table. And when we asked for the bill it took 20 mins for them to give it to us. And we were ignored a couple of times when asking for the waiter. The also forgot my friends starter and had to be reminded. Her meal, the chicken, also looked like it came out of a packet prior to being presented.

There was no more parmesan or giant black pepper grinder either it wasnt offered to us. So idk what has happened but it's disappointing. It's rare we don't pay service charges but the answer when asked was unfortunately no.

Prior to the change in hands we would have spent £60 here easily now we spent £80 and didn't have even dessert and we won't be coming back....

After our second visit we are a little put off visiting again.

Our first visit last year our food came out fairly quick but cold but the service from the waiters was great.

Our visit this week was the opposite way round

Our meals were lovely and hot and delicious but unfortunately the service was super slow it seemed only one waiter was rushing around a few others stood around not doing much so taking our drinks order took some time and usually you’re asked if your ready to order food too but we wasn’t asked but ready to order so after our drinks were brought we waited around 20 minutes for our food order took be taken then the food took over 30 minutes to come out when there was only 3 tables spread out in the restaurant so pretty manageable.

Our bill was incorrect a extra drink was added on so that was a good spot of ours and luckily managed to have it taken off but when asked if we wanted to leave a tip we didn’t feel the service was deserving unfortunately and the waitress went super blunt.

Overall nice food but be prepared to have some wait if you’re hungry...

Very poor dining experience for us. We loved this place when it was Prezzo and were excited when a new Italian Restaurant opened to replace Prezzo. We came here for my son's birthday and emailed to ask what vegan options there are as the menu doesn't list any. We got a reply saying that everything is cooked from scratch and thus they can make anything vegan for us. I asked for a vegan Carbonara and was met with a response which was insulting. "Carbonara has meat in it!' oh ok I say, what vegan options can I have. "Pfft, a margarita pizza with vegan cheese" oh, ok what about pasta, "our pasta has eggs (you idiot), but the gluten free pasta is also vegan" So I had the pizza, which was honestly the worst pizza I have ever had! The rest of the family said the options they had from the menu, were disappointing at best. The bad attitude of the waitress really came across as she couldn't be bothered with us, strange as there were only two other tables that night... So in conclusion, we will not return and will actively encourage others to...

This week we decided to enjoy a friend’s birthday celebration at the newly named Italian restaurant Saporii. We were not disappointed. After a warm welcome, what we learned in conversation with the manager is that this not just a name change. Saporii (meaning tasty or flavour) is a new Italian restaurant with new owners, new management, new chef and new menu. The intention is to focus the menu to reflect an authentic Italian experience, concentrating on taste and flavour. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken ballotine, the crisp duck salad was much appreciated whilst the fettuccine bolognese was a flavoursome pasta dish. The inevitable rather large tiramisu had been made only hours earlier. With generous portions of well presented, delicious food and consistent great service, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. We look forward to a return visit soon.

Great atmosphere, and friendly efficient service. The food was good, we had the pomodoro soup, Sofia pizza and the mushroom risotto, each were nice though felt like they were missing a little something, e.g. the risotto was good but a little bland. Parmesan on top helped a bit, though if it was incorporated into the risotto, it would have been better and given it the edge it needed. Otherwise, everything else was great. The beer was room temperature, which was a sham, though this is likely a stocking or storage issue as they've only recently opened. Overall, we will definitely be back to try some different dishes, especially given how new they are. Everything in terms of service and atmosphere was great. Prices are also very reasonable
