Family and dog friendly pub with great food. Reserved a table the day before for 3 adults,.3 kids and 1 dog and were politely warned that the rugby would be on the TV screens and it might be a bit noisy. Really appreciated the advance warning as the pub was packed when we arrived but still all very welcoming. Nigel came to take our order rather than us having to make our way to the bar. Food arrived promptly and was delicious; good, traditional pub food. Desserts were very much enjoyed too. Really friendly service and delighted that we were able to bring the dog too. Consistently good. Perhaps the last traditional family run pub in Henley? Quality, homemade specials menu on the blackboard that change on a weekly basis. Extensive traditional pub menu. Service with a smile. Staff and landlord seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Always accommodating for groups etc... They show the big sports events but without the rowdiness of some places. We are happy returning customers, visiting from outside the area 🙂 we were greeted by friendly staff to a very comfortable setting and atmosphere. There's a brilliant range of drinks available, a varied food menu to suit most people's tastes and everything we've had has been amazing. The lasagne, Sirloin and chicken burger are all sublime, plus the kids have loved the quarter pounder burger and the chicken nuggets, finally with a taste tingling array of sweets to round up the meal.
