Bon Appetite Cafe, Deli & Gifts — Restaurant in South Tyneside

I ordered a collection for 2 Avocado toast with bacon sausages & poached eggs. The sausages were tasty however the rest of the order was not up-to the standard I paid for. (£16)

The bacon rashers were overcooked, the eggs were almost fully boiled (not runny), and the toast was barely toasted, way too soft & not buttered. In addition to that the avocado seemed to have had little strains in it, odd texture.

To top it off I contacted them straight back after eating a little bit of the food and the notified the lady who served me initially. After explaining the issues with my order the lady didn’t offer any proper solution and instead told me to ‘toast my bread a little more’, refused to give any refund or offer anything on my future visit. Disappointing to see/experience service like this as it effects the owner of the business when employees don’t deal with matters...

I had lunch at Bon Appetite last Thursday I had just returned home from hospital so thought a trip out would help, I'm so pleased I went to this beautiful diner/restaurant in Cleadon I was looked after as if I was royalty the two members of staff could not do enough for me they truly couldn't asking if their was anything they could help with, supportive very very friendly their coffee and toasty with side salad was delicious I felt much happier when I left I will deflintly be back to this wonderful venue and thank you for looking after me Lynsey and Alison such wonderful ladies as well as a credit...

Our first visit during Covid pandemic. Its had a lovely fresh looking makeover. Our cheese and pickle sandwiches were made with very fresh bread and presented nicely. The young waiting staff are friendly and polite. I would have given 5* but felt that the prices were a little high for what we had - nearly £17 for two sandwiches and a tea and a coffee.
