A bit pricey for a simple country pub. Remember it when it did catering and served very good wholesome meals which for a while was discontinued and at last has now returned to catering which I will review in near future. Fairly shocked by a simple single Bells whisky and coke costing a whopping £5.05 There is limited parking at back though do not park in the narrow road at the back as it upsets not just the residents but those living on the estate further alon and if lucky, you can find the odd parking space at the front. Read moreA nice local pub, but we were very disappointed on Christmas Eve when they suddenly called last orders at 2050, Especially as it clearly said on the board next to the bar that they were open until 2200. A few people even heard the bell, but thought it was for something else, as they didn't shout last orders, so a lot of people were left without a final drink. We then had to go to the Grey Horse along the road, which was absolutely rammed with all the people from the Black Bull. Yes there's sport out front, but in the back they have music, the funkiest playlist from 70,80s and 90s, at just the right level to enjoy but still chat and the terrace at the back is just stunning.
