I was disappointed with the food here sadly. It looked good, but the flavours/taste wasn’t there. We went on a quiet day It was so cold there, with no heating on and lights not turned on because there were hardly any customers. I feel like they haven’t kept up with the place's upkeep from when they first opened The toilet needed cleaning! Floors were very slippery. The mirrors and everything steamed up because of how cold it was. The cheese slab had too much ginger and was more like a kebab. The ginger was overpowering. I would not recommend it! The bao bun filling was too salty!! The chips needed to be cooked more; they were soggy with the special sauce. They needed 5 More minutes in the fryer. The best part was that the starters loved the dynamite prawns! One of our mocktails was very good, but others tasted watered down. In my opinion, sticky toffee pudding was the better dessert. Although they advertised it with ice cream, we were given whipped cream from the can. The quality of the food isn’t there for the price, the specials are not worth it for the quality of the meat and food! Places like Etci Mehmet charge the same, and the food quality is reflected.

Newly refurbished restaurant taking over from Spice 1, they've really renovated the inside of the building with a modern setting. We tried out the new menu they were offering and looking to get feed back on the new items. The food I had was very filling (Chicken Katsu Curry) and tasty. I also had a starter too (Cheese Stuffed Kebab Roll), I like the idea of it however the kebab didn't have much flavour just the spice. A friend of mine tried out the 3 mini burger starter and was very happy with what he had gotten, mentioned they were really tasty. He quickly polished them off as they didn't last long. The mocktails were also very nice, I tried the blue lagoon which has lemons and mint in it, very tasty and refreshing, so much I bought another one. Only real downside was that there was no heating in the place, it was very cold where most of my party kept their coats on. If this because the establishment are new and still setting things up, I don't mind. Just hope it does get sorted especially for the winter months ahead. Overall, I would highly recommend this new restaurant!

Visited a few times as it's great to finally see a grill fusion restaurant in South Shields. The decor and ambiance is noticeable immediately. It's exactly like you'd imagine when you walk in, a huge location that still manages to feel cosy. It feels really luxurious with plush interiors, marble effects, excellent lighting and artistic touches. The fire feature is an eye-catching addition and definitely adds to the atmosphere. Good range of starters, favourites are the dynamite prawns and chicken - really packed with flavour. Also enjoyed the steaks, tandoori lamb chops and spicy beef bao buns, and especially the chicken parmesan, has been perfect every time and is complemented really well by the signature chips. I'd highly recommend. Drinks are great - great range of mocktails. Irish Cream Coffee is probably the standout. Service is excellent - staff are friendly, approachable and accommodating. Would recommend.

First visit to The Chamber for my birthday meal and can honestly say I had the worst experience from start to finish. Never have I ever cried at a table before leaving the restaurant. Not going to go on and on as i could be on for hours but here are the points:

Waited 30 minutes before someone came to order our drinks. Waited another 15 minutes to actually have them brought to the table… baring in mind we were the only table in (Table of 5 + 2 children) We got there for 6pm food was not ordered until 6:45pm. The whole place was absolutely freezing we were all shivering and you could see your own breath. Toilets were also that cold the mirrors were misted up! Floor was slippy it had been cleaned with grease by the looks of it nearly went over a few times! Starters came… these were average just about edible no taste. Mains came… all the mains we had were tasteless ribs actually got sent back due to the taste.(when I asked someone to come over 3 members of staff were standing behind the bar talking and I got a hand gesture saying 2 minutes… why! We were the only ones there!)Smash burger also went back as it was brought out raw which it did not state on the menu. They brought 2 burgers out to swap which were cooked through but they were that well done you could snap the burger in half. We asked for the fire back on as it was that cold we’re still waiting for the fire to be turned on now… Ended up running to the toilet to be sick! They gave 20% off the burger due to the inconvenience of the ribs… 20% off one item is an insult especially when there was a substantial amount of food left! Bill came to £148 which I was so mad about even having to pay the full bill! Staff put a hot curry dish in front of 1 year old Even my 6 year old son said to the waiter watch the baby! Now that’s saying something! Asked for the bill immediately after leaving our mains to then be asked if we want any taking home…. Are they for real! Staff were definitely not attentive and need re training… or training full stop! We all left and my husband stayed to pay the bill that honestly shouldn’t have even had to be paid in full due to the absolute shit show of a meal… husband came out 10 minutes later as the card machine wasn’t even working… probably because it was that cold!

I have never ever complained about a restaurant or left crying but this has got to be one of the worst restaurant experiences.

Manager asked my husband for me and him to come again on the house to redeem themselves which I totally appreciate however I wouldn’t even want the food for free…

Really really disappointed and feel...

First impressions when arriving is the establishment being very dark and the music being very loud, took a while for our eyes to adjust to the darkness of the inside, you do get a table lamp however ours kept turning off as it wasn’t charged. We got served with drinks pretty much straight away and we ordered food (staff lovely, polite and friendly) we waited over 50 minutes for our starters to arrive after ordering. Asked staff to check on them as we thought we were missed, finally after that the starters came out then we had another long wait for mains, about another 40 odd minutes. Some of the things we ordered didn’t make it to the table as they were missed off the order? After having mains we ordered deserts, again waited around 40 minutes before getting up and getting the bill out selfs at the bar. The young man on the bar was apologetic and sincere, he altered our bill for items missed and was rather embarrassed his self on our behalf. The restaurant wasn’t busy in the slightest so it was very confusing how the food took so long.

All in all the food was very mediocre, staff were nice but everything just took far too long. Won’t be returning...
