We came for the quiz and tapas. All the tapas dishes were cold and took almost an hour to arrive. I am vegetarian and I ordered patatas bravas as one of my tapas and it came with meat in. This was not advised on the menu. I approached the bar and explained that I wasn’t expecting meat in my dish and the manager came to speak to me. She said ā€˜well if it was vegetarian it would have a V next to it on the menu’. But none of the dishes had a V on so I’m afraid I had to guess. The chef came and offered to make it again without the meat, and the manager just rolled her eyes. I found her rude and unprofessional. Very disappointing from a local business. On the upside, Babs behind the bar was very helpful.

Let's take into account this place has only been open for 2 weeks. This certainly could be an excellent pub. Staff are friendly and keen and the beer is kept well. The carvery today was decent but should be for the best part of £9.00. The meat was ok, a little dry if I'm being picky but the rest was good. The queuing system needs looking at. I'm not sure why it took so long to get through and it blocks off the bar and the ladies toilets! Give it 3/4 months and I'm sure they will have this spot on. We will be back and you should pay them a visit too. Just don't expect perfection yet!

Popped in to see a band. Blown away by the band. Staff were awesome. The booker is a legend. Don't get me started on the free nibbles - top tier host. I've got a new Thursday night for sure. Place is tidy, beers your standard fair but it was a crisp beer.

We booked The Mill Tavern for our daughters christening and regretted it minutes after arriving as we quickly realised that this pub was a Mickey Mouse operation and the management could organise the proverbial p*ss up in a brewery. Here is our list of issues:- There was at least 5 of the draught pumps off; They had no draught soft drinks; They quickly ran out of alternative bottled soft drinks and said they were waiting for an order to arrive, this took over an hour to arrive and when it arrived it was just regular sized cans of coke and diet coke so still no lemonade, soda water or anything else; so moving on to the room we were in, it was dirty, sticky table tops and sticky floors in places and dangerously slippy in others (we noticed this the night before when we dropped off balloons and put banners on walls but assumed this would be cleaned before our arrival the next day), our daughters' brand new christening shoes were ruined from the muck, it looked like she been playing outside in them when she hadn't, she had only been walking and slipping on their floor; now moving onto the "hot" buffet, it took them ages to start bringing it out, they brought it out in dribs and drabs and when they finished bringing it all out, some of it was either luke warm or cold, the food itself was mediocre at best, certainly not value for money. The Manager was less than interested in hearing our concerns and said they'd done their best for us and our expectations were too high, if that was their best, I hate to see the place on a bad day! After posting this on their Facebook page we have been asked why we didn't say anything on the day. We actually did, I showed one of the bamaids the dirty baby wipes we had used to wipe the tables and was told they had been cleaned, I also mentioned at the time about the floor being dirty and slippy and was told it had been cleaned as well. We have been called liars as apparently " their cctv doesn't show us wiping the tables or slipping on the floor ". I suggest they have this checked as if they watched it close enough they would see it on there. I asked the owner if she would like my cousins daughter to come down and tell her about the big bit of muck she scrapped of arm, which she is saying I "threatened her" which I didnt, I simply asked if she would like to hear our complait from one of our guests after she called us liars. One of my guest over heard the staff calling my party for complaining about the tables etc. When this was mentioned on the phone to the manager we were informed that some of our guests had upset one of the staff working who was only 16. We apologise for this, but didn't no anything about it as nothing had been mentioned to us until we complained.

On the day my mother asked about the food as we were told we were getting vegetable lasagne and we didn't, we got vegetable curry instead (no rice). We asked for curry but not as the veggie option. It's nothing like a buffet I've ever had! There was no Crisps or nut or even salad! There was cheap (what looked like shop bought)pies chopped up and didn't look appealing at all . A horrible looking pasta salad that tasted awful, garlic bread, sausage rolls. We did get hot beef sandwich and roasties (these were asked for) which were ok.

We didn't say anything else as we didn't want to spoil the day anymore than it already had been and agreed to mention it the next day which is what we did. I don't know what happened to the customer is always right but it wasn't when I rang to complain and hasn't been since I posted our review. We will not...

Fabulous pub and eaterie . So comfortable with a lovely atmoshere . Was unsure in what to pick from the vast menu which encompassed many different dishes . Being a sea food addict , I had phoned ahead to ask if Seafood Risotto was on offer . It was and the best I've ever tasted . Hats off and a big handshake to the chef and kitchen staff who had served perfection on a plate . My O.H. settled for the old English favourite of battered cod with chips and fresh salad served with lemon wedges . I nicked a bit and that batter was to die for. I finished off with a simple cheesecake as did him indoors Stuffed was not the word . Absolute delight of a place in Hebburn . The staff , front of house and kitchen were 100% . Will be back again without fear of contradiction . Well done to The...
