Peri Peri Original — Restaurant in St Albans

Ordered peri peri on deliveroo. We have ordered many times from here, a couple of times there has been missing food from the orders but would still go back as they would rectify their mistake! NOT THIS TIME!! Called to say the mini platter was missing from the order and was told this has already been delivered by deliveroo. I mentioned I have the order here but not the mini platter. They hung up on me! I called back again and was told they are busy and to call back in 20 minutes to re-order! I said I have the rest of my food but you want me to re-order again in 20 minutes for the remainder...hung up again! I tried to call again but declined my call. In the end I had to call from another mobile number and ask them when they are going to bring the mini platter. They said there is nothing they can do and have to re-order...even though they already took my money!! WILL NEVER...

Hooray! Peri Peri make food for the adults. I adore these grilled chicken peri peri burgers and wraps and think the heat level is perfect. A quick look round showa loads of people complaining its "too hot". Why on earth would anyone order food called "Extra hot" and then complain that it's hot? For crying out loud, what is wrong with some people? I regularly take my family to Peri Peri and am not irresponsible enough to feed them the "Extra hot one" just in case it ruins their day. But I sometimes have mine with extra sauce if I'm feeling cheeky although mostly it is perfect as served. The thing is a delight, the grilled chicken is soft and tasty and the sauce is lovely and tasty as well as having some kick, and at only grilled calories they are fine as lunch or even a snack.

If you like spicy food...

Hygiene poor, service very poor. Ordered our food was told it would take 20 min. Still no food 40 min later. They served every man and their dog who ordered after us. Once the food arrived to the table, they failed to serve the entire order. We had to remind them to give us the rest of the order, then they had the cheek to say can they give us the leg piece instead of the breast piece. Prices keep going up guessing because they are busy, but failing to keep a high standard. Do NOT recommend! Saw two staff members using one glove each to take orders, wipe filthy tables,Handling change and most importantly using the same damn glove to prep food!!!!!! Wings were dry...
