The Oval Cafe — Restaurant in St Albans

We walked for an hour + with two small children to go to the Oval. Just to find they dont accept cash. So another hour+ walk home with no drink or lunch due to this ridiculous rule. I was raised to be careful with money, one method being use cash and dont even bring a bank card when you have no intention of using it. Very user-unfriendly experience to be honest. Exquisite. I came here many many times over the years and this was the first time in about 3. Coffee has become absolutely excellent. Fruity, smooth… everything you want in a drink. Favourite cafe in Harpenden... if not England! Quality staff and probably the best atmosphere. You can plug away and get work done, or you can allow yourself to be interrupted by the wonderful friendly-family like vibes that the Oval Cafe offers.
