Bamboo Garden — Restaurant in St Helens

I’m sorry to say but this place doesn’t even deserve a 1-star. We placed an order for takeaway tonight, Tuesday 2nd March @ 17:25, which consisted of one main meal, a portion of noodles, a portion of chips and a sausage for our 2 year old son. Not exactly a ridiculously large order. Upon placing the order we were told that it would be a 45 minute wait for delivery, which we quite happily agreed to. 18:35 arrived, and sadly we were still waiting for our delivery to arrive! I called the restaurant back to query what had happened and ask why we were still waiting so long after to be told that our food was only just being cooked, and the driver was out delivering other food deliveries. When I questioned why our food was only just being cooked and asked for an estimation of how much longer we would be waiting, I was told that they didn’t know where the driver was and it would be about 15 minutes? Feeling a little bit frustrated and angry at this point, I kindly asked to speak to a manager, to be told that there wasn’t a manager there for me to speak to?? As you can imagine, my anger and frustration continued to build. In my opinion this is extremely bad practise in so many ways. You can’t possibly expect to run a busy and successful business by feeding your customers false information and expectations. I would totally expect a wait this long on a busy Saturday night, however on a Tuesday night, I am extremely disappointed to have been waiting this long after we were originally told that our food would be delivered in approx 40-45 minutes. Safe to say, we have wasted over an hour and a half now waiting for food that I have now had to cancel, and more disappointingly, our 2 year old was still waiting for his tea! I would most certainly never order from here again, nor could I ever think of recommending it to anyone else! All I can say is good luck to anyone that does place an order....prepare yourself for extra long waits and extremely poor customer service if you have to ring up to question where...

Stood outside and nearly got ran over from the woman who worked there when she mounted the kerb onto the path with no warning then continued to reverse when she could very clearly see us standing on the path! Got out her car and started shouting this is my space I can do what I want! Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Would not go near this place they have dead flys along the window and...

Below average, chips tasted of actual cardboard and had been sitting in the bag a good while so were cold plus they were cheap frozen chips, vermicelli tasted strange and salt and pepper chicken was tough, spent £26 and didn't even give me free prawn crackers oh and it took 1 hour 20 mins...waste of time and money won't be...
