I asked for two drinks and 2 cakes. The girl making the drinks passed me the first one and forgot about the other one. We were the only people to serve. I asked her about the other one she didn't speak back to me but preceded to make a drink. I assumed it was ours. She passed me the drink and I realised it wasn't the right drink. Explained to the guy who served me. He said I've taken somebody else's drink but at the time of ordering there was only us there and the girl handed me the drink personally. So then she made the correct drink. She put cream until which we had asked for no cream. I told her and also told her that nobody seems to be listening and were the only ones in the queue waiting. She again didn't speak. Made the drink and handed it to me, no word of apology nothing. It was served in a paper cup and had told them we would like to stay in. Place was very cold due to window being left wide open for drive thru customers. Just so shocked at how they can be so ignorant and mix up an order of two drinks a lot when we were the only people there without even looking up to speak to me when I'm standing there just waiting for one drink. These staff wouldn't handle working in a busy branch at all..havnt got the people skills or the organisation to even make one...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews but we've had loads of problems with this Starbucks unfortunately, we don't have particularly complex orders (maybe a syrup added or an alternative milk with everything else in the drink the default) and almost every single time the drink has an issue or is missing something (including syrup which you pay extra for). I'm leaving the review as most recently I requested an alternative milk in a regular drink as I have an autoimmune sensitivity to dairy and they gave me regular dairy milk and I got quite sick from it. I thought maybe it was something else I'd had during the day but my dairy-drinking partner checked and confirmed it tasted like dairy milk. I can deal with the odd mistake here or there but that's quite a bad mistake to make from quite a simple request.
I fully appreciate that cross-contamination can't be avoided for allergies which is fair but I would at least hope that staff recognise people get alternative milks for different reasons - and medical reasons can be non-allergy, we don't just do it...
Read moreConsistently putrid. Kudos for maintaining the level of quality, but the skill of the workforce has to be put into question. Not sure if it is just mediocre salary apathy, and a general mentality, or poor training and a lack of QC and attention to detail.
Baked goods have always been rather stale, but they have now started to package food with their best before dates on them; so in essence, they'll give you something right on the cusp of being unsellable.
Every drink, no matter what you order appears to be a latte, or they are giving you half a shot of burnt espresso. Regardless, there is more milk in these drinks than a Holstein Friesian.
Attitude of the staff can be a mixed bag, and varies on the day and who is on shift, but I am not singling anyone out. St. Helens genepool.
Sorry folks. Do better, and learn from other members of the franchise. Weld Blundell branch is particularly good, friendly, efficient and consistently good quality.
Side note; stop tightly wrapping your cinnamon swirls up so all the icing peels...
