The sun was shining and lots of families around to do the PYO sunflowers so they were extra busy but despite this we were seated and set up with some tea. After a wait (which we were absolutely happy to do as the team were so busy) we were presented with a stunning afternoon tea, complete with home made everything! Sandwiches on a variety of breads (smoked salmon, proper chicken, egg mayo and cheese and pickle), along with scone with jam & cream, plus sponge cake, a small Eton mess, and bitesize lemon tarts, choc brownie and macaron. All of it was delicious - we left nothing! We were offered extra tea often, and honestly it was worth every penny. Clearly the team work hard to produce great quality fayre and quite honestly for us it beat an afternoon tea we had at a very famous tearoom which we paid twice as much for. I would highly recommend and I've no doubt we would visit again if ever visiting...
