Bell Inn — Restaurant in Stafford

We visited the Bell Inn on a Sunday morning and met Gary the landlord. Based at the heart of the picturesque and quaint Eccleshall I hadn't been inside before but had often passed it seeing lots of people there. I was amazed to find it was a real gem and Gary was a delight.

Traditional pub decor in this ancient coach house with lots of quirky drawings and locals photos took me back to times past with pubs at the heart of the community.

We had a full English breakfast accompanied with entertainment from Gary. The selection of beers available including real ales is impressive. A very pleasant...

Fantastic pub, so traditional you can almost feel the ghosts of 200 yrs ago sitting in a snug around the corner having a private conversation. It's an ancient building and a real proper pub still. Coffee is fantastic, atmosphere is fantastic and the staff and Landlord and landlady are lovely and so welcoming. It's in a beautiful setting on the high street and very quaint. Tvs always showing sport and a steady stream of drinkers in and out all day long. Open all day and they've just started doing pub food which I look forward to trying. Lovely...

A proper pub. With proper beer plus the usual improper beer. Would be 5 stars, but they have barstools at the bar which means you have to excuse yourself between a pair of locals to get served. I'm new to the area, so it's a bit inconvenient...
