Twice we came with the intention of eating. Twice we were let down. The first incident, there were still costumers and we were told the kitchen was already closed and they weren’t accepting costumers even 2 hours before their closing time, which was fine. We were on our way to kingston then and found New Malden: which has LOTS of authentic korean restaurants. The second time around, we were sat down by the staff and even brought spoon and fork and the menu for my partner. We had then picked what we wanted and was waiting to order for 7mins. Their other pair of costumers were leaving and we were probably their last costumers. We were approached by their server and were basically asked to leave, saying that their kitchen is no longer serving 2 hours before the closing time! Will never again come back to this eatery.
Probably next time GangNam restaurant in Stevenage, when you run out of food or your Kitchen is no longer wanting to cook, put a white paper saying ‘ kitchen no longer accepting orders’ plastered on the front door, so costumers won’t even step a foot inside and not when costumers are already...
Read moreGreat food! However, they are selling sushi as kimbab! I was very disappointed and the service was terrible! I think all the staff were new as they seemed to not know what they were doing! Our waiter asked twice for our order and still missed one of the dishes. As the food was amazing we waited patiently for the missing dish to arrive. Then we ordered take away whilst we waited. They put the take away items on the eat in bill so we paid for service charge for them. We left the place and checked for our order, my whole takeaway order was missing! When we went back to tell them, the staff weren’t hazed! They didn’t even say sorry. But the chef was so nice and friendly! He apologised and gave us some kimchi and cake for their mistake. This place could do so much better if they have a better...
Read moreReally lovely food! I had the spicy pork Bibimbap as recommended by the hostess and my brother had the Salmon Bibimbap.
I would recommend ordering a side of kimchi to add to the bibimbap to up the taste factor but otherwise it was just a perfect balance of rice, meat and veggies.
Honestly also don’t need to order a starter as the Bibimbap was very fulfilling.
I also enjoyed a cup of the ginseng tea.
Finally we split the chocolate mochi. And OMG! Do not miss this desert! Def home-made and perfect chew to chocolate ratio.
Yes, service is a bit slow but I was sat at a table near the kitchen and it takes time to prepare food that tastes so good!
So just spend the time chatting and catching up with your dining companions but don’t miss a meal at this hidden...
