Twice we came with the intention of eating. Twice we were let down. The first incident, there were still costumers and we were told the kitchen was already closed and they weren’t accepting costumers even 2 hours before their closing time, which was fine. We were on our way to kingston then and found New Malden: which has LOTS of authentic korean restaurants. The second time around, we were sat down by the staff and even brought spoon and fork and the menu for my partner. We had then picked what we wanted and was waiting to order for 7mins. Their other pair of costumers were leaving and we were probably their last costumers. We were approached by their server and were basically asked to leave, saying that their kitchen is no longer serving 2 hours before the closing time! Will never again come back to this eatery.

Probably next time GangNam restaurant in Stevenage, when you run out of food or your Kitchen is no longer wanting to cook, put a white paper saying ‘ kitchen no longer accepting orders’ plastered on the front door, so costumers won’t even step a foot inside and not when costumers are already...

Great food! However, they are selling sushi as kimbab! I was very disappointed and the service was terrible! I think all the staff were new as they seemed to not know what they were doing! Our waiter asked twice for our order and still missed one of the dishes. As the food was amazing we waited patiently for the missing dish to arrive. Then we ordered take away whilst we waited. They put the take away items on the eat in bill so we paid for service charge for them. We left the place and checked for our order, my whole takeaway order was missing! When we went back to tell them, the staff weren’t hazed! They didn’t even say sorry. But the chef was so nice and friendly! He apologised and gave us some kimchi and cake for their mistake. This place could do so much better if they have a better...

Really lovely food! I had the spicy pork Bibimbap as recommended by the hostess and my brother had the Salmon Bibimbap.

I would recommend ordering a side of kimchi to add to the bibimbap to up the taste factor but otherwise it was just a perfect balance of rice, meat and veggies.

Honestly also don’t need to order a starter as the Bibimbap was very fulfilling.

I also enjoyed a cup of the ginseng tea.

Finally we split the chocolate mochi. And OMG! Do not miss this desert! Def home-made and perfect chew to chocolate ratio.

Yes, service is a bit slow but I was sat at a table near the kitchen and it takes time to prepare food that tastes so good!

So just spend the time chatting and catching up with your dining companions but don’t miss a meal at this hidden...

There were four of us visiting on a weekday, we spent a total of £45.38 for one main dish each, one dessert (that we split four ways) and one soft drink each. Neither of us is a Korean food aficionado, but we give it four stars across the board, because the portions, in our opinion, were a bit too small for the price that was being charged, and the dessert menu was lackluster (out of four desserts listed, two were out of stock). However, what we did have was tasty and the servers (though not very experienced) were enthusiastic about their jobs. So to summarise, it's worth visiting once, just so that you have experienced what the Korean food its like at Gang Nam Restaurant, so we don't regret going, but we saw no real reason to be returning our custom.

Gangman has become one of my favourite Korean restaurants to eat at. I'm always trying to find a new Korean eatery in whatever city I am in, and whenever I'm visiting my partner it's a delight for us to dine at this place. The service is kind and compassionate, and the food is always delicious and wanting me to order more! I'm biased to always order a Chicken Bibimbap but I must say the bulgogi and the fried chicken strips were a new order that I'll be having again. This is a hidden gem in Stevenage for sure.

This is great unpretentious restaurant serving tasty good quality food. Nothing fancy but I loved all the food we had. It was like a home cooked meal. I single out the seafood pancake and the vegetable dumpling jeongol for special attention- they were particularly delicious. The pear juice is wonderful but a bit pricey. We shared 2 main meals, 2 appetisers, 2 rice and small kimchi amongst three and that was just enough. There is ample free parking nearby.
