Andrew Arms — Restaurant in Stockport

Was really looking forward to eating here, heard the burgers were great and we come to the area regularly after cycling. 5 of us Ordered the Chicken burger and as they all started coming out they looked amazing. Only for the last one to come was in an English muffin and the server said “sorry we’ve run out of brioche buns so we have given you this’” It would have gone a long way just to come and ask whether this was suitable before bringing it to the table where I was put on the spot to take it as it was already put together.

Then as we were paying I overheard the server say to someone else who was ordering the burger; “I’m sorry we have run out of brioche buns, would you prefer a English muffin or a ciabatta as a substitute?” I would have happily accepted a ciabatta if I was given the opportunity to.

It really is a shame as we would’ve definitely come to this place again, however because of my experience I don’t think we will. The food was good but the customer service...

Absolutely awesome pub. I came for a hike around Marple and just stopped at this pub Andrew arms passing by. I must say, Andy and Sharon, are extremely passionate about their pub and they honestly offer a warm welcome, fantastic service, smiley faces and a fantastic pub overall. This was a lovely friendly pub with great outside space and warm welcoming staff. Nothing was too much. There was good effective organisation of the Corona situation, which felt safe but not overly impacted on your experience.
