Food is of an excellent standard, I’ve been to London restaurants and gastro pubs that don’t match the quality of food you get from Spring Gardens. We’ve been here numerous times and every time it’s been spot on.

Sunday roast- Quality and quantity (rare to find I think for a roast!) but they nail it. Every bit of veg is served you don’t have to buy extras including cauliflower cheese! The meat is always cooked perfectly and the best roast potatoes and gravy. Every bit of food on the roast tastes great. Had a roast from here 4 times!

The other food is amazing too, I’ve had a standard beef burger and that’s homemade and lovely but the other usual pub grub meals like hunters chicken and beef wellington is done so differently the chef has put his own spin on them which is so nice to have something different that tastes even better!

Food is 10/10 for sure.

Staff are always so lovely and kind. Really thoughtful and attentive, friendly and approachable.

Dog friendly too! Nice atmosphere and massive beer garden!

All round...

Me and my family went late on a Sunday night (arrived at 6.20pm) after telephoning ahead to check they still served food at this time. I was reassured on the phone that they were still serving food until 7pm. From the beginning we had a very poor experience. No attention given to us from the moment we arrived. We collected our own menus and placed our order with the barman. 60 minutes later and still no one had even been over to our table. We queried if all ok with the order at the bar as no waiting-on staff were on. We were told the food would be another 20 minutes as it was busy and they were just waiting for our chicken orders. No apology and the message was delivered by the bar man as he rushed past us. Eventually we went to the barman to complain and when I said we were looking to cancel the response was ‘ok well let me know as soon as you decide’. Made to feel unwanted and unvalued. Won’t be going again...

A Hidden Gem – Highly Recommend! I recently visited The Spring Gardens and was genuinely impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and relaxed. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a great mix of locals and visitors.

The food was excellent – fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. I’d especially recommend the steak and hunters chicken absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were generous, and the prices are very fair for the quality you get.

There’s also a great selection of drinks on tap, and the outdoor seating area is perfect for a sunny afternoon. It’s clear the place is well looked after, with clean facilities and friendly service throughout.

All in all, The Spring Gardens is a lovely spot whether you’re just popping in for a drink or staying for a full meal. Will...

Massive thanks to all the girls, staff, and Jerry the chef! At the spring gardens Had a last minute arranged 50th birthday meal, and from the start was looked after superbly nothing was too much trouble for the kind friendly staff. Great choice of drinks at good prices, and the food and choice of meals was the very best we have had for a long time! Jerry pulled out all the stops to give 100% great food.,beautifully presented. So glad we went and will be definitely going there again! Thanks again! Ps also very dog friendly place too!

We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.

Last minute visit to this lovely spot for Sunday lunch, before heading up to the local Moovin festival. Staff were lovely, extremely helpful fitting us in and couldn't have done more for us. Food was up there with the best, the roast potatoes were pure filth 😍 The pad beef was very well cooked, fell apart on the fork, and the veg was fresh and tasty. 10/10 so glad we made the decision to try this gem of a place!
