Overall the wife and I enjoyed our usual Friday night curry here but there were a few things that could have made it even better. They have done a great job in the presentation of the dining room and toilets. Very smart, contemporary decor and spotless. Parking is convenient, they have a few of their own adjacent spaces but there's room round and about. Pleasant staff, happy to help but it was busy on our night and they appeared to be a bit stretched. Being almost full resulted in it being a bit loud, you couldn't say the atmosphere was romantic or it fitted the fine dining label. Nice poppadoms and dips but the sheekh kebab lamb was very coarsely ground with the wife finding a bit of gristle. It was also on the hot side, however it did come with an excellent salad and additional sauces. They also split the portion between the two of us on individual plates both with salad. The mains were very good but I would have liked a little bit more depth of flavour, also you would have had a challenge to distinguish between what should have been two quite different dishes. The sides were excellent especially the pilau rice, with non of the all to common red and green food colouring. Even the "dalek" kulfi seemed to be creamier than those we have had before. Nice drinks but unfortunately no pinot grigio blush for the wife. She didn’t complain about her large merlot though. What did annoy me though was having to ask three times for the bill, and when it came we were asked "would you like to add a tip?" In my opinion it's simply not done thing. As a result I made just a token gesture probably just us being miserable but it did put us off. The prices aren't too bad taking all into consideration.

Please don't be fooled , I went to stay at local hotel and voted to go for an Indian local , having checked the website it read good reviews and apparently the chef owner was cooking , I was delighted that he does cookery shows . it was a Tuesday evening at around 6.15 Pm , three or four tables of four so not busy they did the normal trick when entering the dinning suggesting a table by the window , so it looks busy from the road side . I ordered the Tandoori Platter at 11.50 / rice / . Was super surprised when it arrived to the table within 8 minutes from taking the order , steaming hot . I was slightly supicious and my gut feeling was correct not only did he have a faint smell , of old chicken it also was so dry the meat was black inside . To be honest it was the worst Indian I have eaten in 25 years . The waiter came over as I was taking a photo and asked was every thing ok , I explained and told him I was in the Catering . High Level catering ! He went to the kitchen and asked for another platter and sincerely apolgized said its because on the weekend its so busy , they cook in advance ..... but hold on it was Tuesday so ... the chicken drums and the thighs have been cooked in a plastic container in and out of the fridge since Friday .... nearly five days ..OMG Another platter arrived some 15 minutes later small thighs cut up , and drum , as you can see in the photo it was raw ... I just lost appetite and decided to cut the losses and ask for the bill . Awful Meal , RAW chicken to which I will report my finings to the environmental health Department . My findings are from my own personal experience . I have lots more photos , but think ones says enough .

Really disappointed with the whole experience on Saturday night, Door way blocked as people queuing for tables and takeaway , staff running around sweating panicking , people moaning as they had no record of their booking in the book, same happened to us , had an email confirmation no table reserved in the book though!!?? We were given a large round table , so I moved closer to my partner only for one of the waiters to moan at me saying there’s not enough space to get the trolley through , there was room but unfortunately I got the occasional knock on my chair from the waiters going by . Only saving Grace was the food , that part was good , just unfortunately the rest has put me off!!

BEFORE YOU ENTER - DO ASK THE GUYS INSIDE IF THEY TREAT ASIAN/BROWN SKINNED PEOPLE ALL THE SAME

This review is for mostly Asian customers/brown skinned customers. I went to this restaurant with my wife and 2 kids on Saturday after a good boat ride on Avon. I'm not a local so I relied on reviews. I hope Asian customers/brown skinned customers will find this useful. You will understand why I say this when you read my full review below.

The food: 2 stars. Not authentic Indian food, all dishes were sweet and Kulcha was rubbery;

The service: 1 star; I would give 0 honestly... The guys didn't turn up to my table promptly compared to the other customers around me (generally white people).

Kids were getting impatient due to the delays from waiters bearing in mind we were there at about 17:45 on a Saturday. I would assume it wouldn't have been getting busy yet!!!

We thought to go and I asked for the bill, I had to literally stand up and get one of the waiters' attention. The waiter wasn't keen to pack my food - we DON'T LIKE wasting food.

The waiter kept asking me if I wanted to tip him (he called it gratuity), he prompted me for 4 to 5 time in less than 3 minutes. Oh, and he didn't even bother to ask if we liked any mint. Forget it, I wasn't keen to stay there for even a minute anyway. Obviously, I didn't tip the guy for the CRAP service and the discrimination.

@desi log - mat jao yahan pe khane keliye... agar koi gore ke sath jaa'oge tho they will notice you.

Never going there again even recommend it to my...
