It was a nice touch that they warmed my scone before bringing it to the Billy no mates table for one at which I was sitting. It seemed strange to me that the scone with butter was priced as an item on the menu. You want jam? That's extra. You want clotted cream? That's extra. You want both? That's extra, extra. So if you're having a 'cream tea' it's gonna cost ya an arm and half a leg. The coffee was..... nothing special. In fact it was less than that. Wanted a stop off main route for lunch. Fantastic find, warm welcome from young girls who have recently taken over this arts cafe. Food, mostly cold, high quality and priced well. Large tea pot of tea and big cup coffee,. We ate thick ham and leek quiche,with salad with side dish of the most amazing thick balsamic vinegar.
