Nice cafe on the outskirts of Stroud just off the A419 Stroud to Cirencester road. No noticeable traffic noise just the occasional train on the viaduct above.
The river Frome runs by the outside lawned area where there's also outdoor seating with a mixture of benches and tables with chairs. Very clean and relaxed.
Good service at this local and very popular small cafe, right next door to Noah's Ark, the cycle shop.
Weve visited twice, in the space of two weeks, drinks and a savoury snack then first time and just drinks on the second. Four drinks including decaf cappuccino, two bottled flavoured lemonades and a hot chocolate came to just over ยฃ15.
Relaxed atmosphere, with additional seating inside and to the front. Limited parking for five to six cars close to the front with additional seating the other side of the cycle shop, not ideal for elderly or clients with reduced mobility.
The toilets are adjacent to the main road in a separate building near xt to the overflow car park.
And yes, it's dog friendly. Dog treats on hand.

ย ย ย Read moreI was taking my two best friends from Essex to the Cotswolds for the weekend and decided to book ahead at this cafe for lunch. We booked to have a bottomless brunch, however because it was a suprise for my friends and I got the wrong end of the stick about the offer (thinking it was food and drink), 2 people decided once there to have the normal menu as the bottomless brunch didn't not have anything on it that they wanted. We told one of the ladies when we arrived (I think the manager) with her immediate response was that she wasn't happy as she had turned away people for the bottomless brunch because she didn't have enough tables? It was rude. There was no welcome to our cafe or listening to why this might of been. It just instantly made us feel like we shouldn't have been there. The waitress with long dark hair however was nice and understanding and we made apologies to here for my mistake for not reading the advert correctly. If it wasn't for her we probably would have left and they wouldn't have made any money on it at all. Sometimes it's not about the money spent but good customer service and it wasn't great. We wouldn't go back given the choice, not warm and...

The food just felt a bit lacklustre and not good enough quality. The sourdough bread/toast seemed to have come out of a packet rather than been a fresh loaf which I don't have an issue with except that 'sourdough' on a menu in any other establishment means thick crusty slices, not packety ready sliced...
The 'fancy slow cooked beans' suspiciously resembled baked beans with added curry sauce and were not worthy of being the star of their own breakfast, especially not when combined with the bread as described.
I was going to let the slow service and luke warm drinks slide due to it being busy but really, I think we'll stick to coffee and cake in the future and find...
