UPDATE - Tuesday 03 Dec 24 After dicussing, by private emails, the events of last week, Team Henry asked me to give them another try. This I did today, and I was not disappointed this time around. The coffee was great, and the sausage roll was a beast of deliciousness!! Thank you Team Henry for making this experience as good as my first. Tuesday 26 Nov 24 Went to Henry's for the first time on Sat for a light lunch. So delighted with the service, food and atmosphere, that I returned for lunch today, Tuesday. Friendly greeting, and I ordered a black coffee and ham and cheese toastie on brown seeded bread. Now it all goes south!! Coffee arrived, and it was a murky brown colour, and taste made me think it was instant, not filtered. Only some granules on the saucer clued me in to it being allegedly filtered. After 15mins, people coming after me having received their food, I asked what was happening with my order. Apologies given, and I waited a further 10mins for the food to arrive - on white sourdough!! I mentioned my frustration to the young lady server who offered me a replacement or refund. I declined as I had already waited so long, and ate it. I recognise the place was busy with lunch service, but to forget an order, and not even update the customer, is bad service. Henry's is local to me, and the food I have ordered has been good, despite being on white bread instead of brown, but due to my experience today, I will be thinking long and hard about returning to this...

After a walk on Minchinhampton Common (which is amazing), we stopped off for a bike to eat in Henry Bakehouse Cafe in Minchinhampton. We had our dog, so initially sat outside, but unusually it was so sunny, we retreated inside for some shade. The cafe offers a fantastic choice of food - I had the focaccia wedge, served warm with Serrano ham, mozzarella, tomato, pesto and other delicious veg. It was amazing! My Earl Grey tea came in a metal teapot, and was honestly the best I’d ever tasted, so good, I bought some to take home. Other customers very tucking into mushrooms on toast with perfect poached eggs, my husband had a sausage roll which he was very impressed with. The service was so good. Friendly and helpful, and I witnessed the owner helping two elderly ladies by carrying a walker and helping them out of the shop. The bread and pastries all looked fantastic. So pleased we...

We wanted to give Henry's another chance after being disappointed by the toasties, previously we found them extremely greasy and overpriced. Today they got one of our orders completely wrong, and did not have items that either of us had asked for. Admittedly we went late in the day. Personally we prefer bacon a bit crisper but that is just our preference. Once again however we found the toasties to be absolutely soaked full of grease, so intensely fatty that we both had to stop eating after a few bites. I honestly don't understand how anyone can eat those all in one sitting! Easily both the most greasy and most expensive toastie I've ever had. That, combined with the very high prices (£6 - 7.50ish for a toastie) mean we won't be coming back. Clearly we're the minority as this place gets...

I went into Henry's for breakfast and found a cosy corner. It had a nice vibe. Lots of locals were there and were very friendly. I ordered avocado on toast vegan style. I was very impressed with the number of vegan options, cos I was once a vegan. My meal had delicious vegan cheese and beetroot hummus. So nice to see locals coming in and asking for their usual order. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, and they engaged with all the customers. I don't always leave a review, but when something is either good or bad, it's important to say.

Our favorite food spot in the Stroud area! We keep coming back because the food and drinks are top notch, and we see such genuinely kind and generous service each time too. We can even do some of our grocery shopping while here. The fresh milk, eggs, butter, cream, and meat were all huge hits with our family of six. Our girls love the pastries and drinks, and we love that we don’t feel rushed in the cute cafe space with outside seating options if the day is nice. Super friendly service and just top quality all around. Cannot recommend enough!
