Found this little Inn by chance. Well presented and clean. We only had drinks and a quick snack however it was well presented and good value. We noticed that they had a special offer on a buy one get one free on all main courses which we felt was excellent value. Large beer garden which had small area of play equipment in. Friendly staff. Campsite at the back of the pub - we didn’t visit so are unable to comment on the camping area. The noise from the adjacent M5 and railway track was quite noticeable and I can imagine may upset some people.

Staying at the camp site and this is the best food we've ever had on a campsite. Lastnight I had seabass and tonight had a rare steak. Others had cheapest burger and gammon lastnight and tonight the special faggots and another cheese burger. Everything was delicious and the pub was quaint and well served.

A lovely authentic 'old world' pub, full of charm. Service was second to none, friendly, attentive and welcoming. Lovely surroundings, (even though the main road isn't far away, you don't really notice it). The food was worthy of a good restaurant quality, no sign of microwave meals in sight. We shared a starter of calamari, which were large rings and it was the most tender I had tasted in a while. For mains, we had a special of lamb steaks, with veg and gravy - homemade mash and 3 good size thick lamb steaks, which were very tender and fish and chips - a generous size piece of cod which was very fleshy and thick and lovely crispy chips, along with a generous portion of mushy peas and tartare sauce. All the food was piping hot and did not leave us any room for desserts, unfortunately. The mains were also 'Buy One Get One Free', so a bargain! People were calling in to book Sunday lunch, so it appears to be very popular. Very friendly staff who had no qualms about us walking around the attached caravan park, as we have a touring caravan. All in all, a gem of a pub - highly...

Firstly, I’d give 0 stars if it were an option. Walking into the pub we were shocked about how hostile the staff were, making rude comments to the other staff members about how we sat down without permission, even though we weren’t greeted as we walked in whilst it was empty. We should have left straight away after this but we thought we would give the food a chance to redeem the experience. The food took an hour to arrive which was surprising as it wasn’t busy. The food itself was very basic, with little to no flavour, the chips were cheap and frozen and the burger i ordered was covered in grease, the salad had brown edges and looked a week old (minimum), the chicken my girlfriend ordered was dry even though it was swimming in bbq sauce. On the contrary the bacon that came with the meal was hardly cooked and stringy. The portion size was good however the awful quality of the food made it a horrifying challenge to even attempt to eat. This may seem like a joke but honestly it is not worth spending a penny in this place, don’t be fooled by the...

I have never written a negative review before about anything but I had a terrible experience at Hoggies today. Both with the service and the food. No one took our order so my husband ordered at the bar. Once our food was brought out that was the first and last time staff came to our table. It was very quiet in the restaurant with only 1 or 2 other tables taken. We would have had dessert for our 2 children but we had enough of waiting, there were no staff around to even ask. So we went to the bar and waited to pay. I ordered a homemade veggie burger which was mashed up carrot and swede made into a burger shape, it was slushy, mushy and couldn't keep it's form when I tried to eat it, it didn't taste good at all. Bizarre to think this was acceptable. We always enjoyed going to the Pepperpot but Hoggies -...
