The main menus were plastic and the wine menu was paper that unfortunately had food stains on so that was a bit off putting. Playing in the background was a medley of 80's 90's music Fleetwood mac etc..which I didn't mind. The queenie scallops were tiny and probably the smallest scallops I've ever been served before in a restaurant / tapas bar. The meatballs were nice and potatas bravas seemed over done in places a little burnt. Overall the food was OK and I wouldn't say overly expensive but It's a long way from the true quality of Spanish Tapas. VISITED on 17th March 2023

So very happy to welcome a lovely tapas bar as our new neighbours in the village. A menu of classic petit dishes (biased toward north eastern Spain), made with skill and heart, delivered with a smile. I’m going to spend dar too much time and money here. And if it comes to a stand off between you and me for the last portion of Crème Catalan, I’ll tell your family you fought and died with honour.

What a superb experience. An idyllic, genuine atmosphere. Lovely, friendly staff across the team. The food was the highlight though. Simple choices, delicious results. Perfect for sharing these tapas plates, chorizo, patatas bravas, fish, chicken skewer was amazing. Leave a little space for the special Spanish churros. I can't rave enough, thank you guys.

We went in last night (Saturday 5th Aug) I'd booked a table for 5. When I called to book the girl on the phone said we're fully booked but was corrected by somebody in the back ground and told they do have a table. She said we could come in a little earlier (she said 5.30pm) than 6pm if we wanted the table a little longer. She told me we'd have the table until 8pm. When we got there we were made to feel unwelcome straight away. The girl with blond hair (sorry don't know her name) came over with a bad attitude and said "your table is not booked until 6pm" I told her the girl on the phone said we could come at 5.30pm so she said "wait at the bar" so we had to stand there until she decided to seat us at a table that nobody was sat at the whole time we were there. She had a really bad attitude with us the whole time she served us, we were not rude to her so can't understand where this animosity came from.

My sister went to use the bathroom and the girl came over and said "have you finished now" and picked up my sister's plate, we said "we're all still eating" we were literally sat there eating our food and it had only been on our table for a short time!! There was an 18th birthday party in too and we think they'd booked too many people in and couldn't handle it but how is this our problem and why were we penalised because of it?!

They got a walk in so the same girl came over and decided at 7pm it was a good idea to say with the same bad attitude that she wants the table back in 5 minutes. So we said "no, we've not even finished" so just to accommodate for a walk in they were going to throw us out an hour earlier than what we were told on the phone. She stood glaring at us and pulling a face the whole time and made us feel so uncomfortable so we got our food to go. She put it on the table and we asked "is it possible to get a bag?" She just said "no" with the same nasty attitude.

I genuinely don't understand why she felt the need to make us feel so unwelcome, if she hates her job so much then why do it?! We spent a lot of money to be made to feel like dirt. We won't be back after this horrible experience.

Reply- If Millie is "such a lovely young woman" then why did she treat us so badly?! She was rude from the second we walked through the door, her attitude towards us was appalling and unnecessary and could have really spoilt our evening. I genuinely left feeling upset and still do now as your reply proves how little you care. Also we were told by the girl on the phone that we have the table for two hours when I booked at 6pm until 8pm and she said we can have it for longer if we come at 5.30pm. This still does not justify why we were so abruptly asked to leave at 7pm and if you had us booked for 5.30pm why were we not allowed to sit at our table which was empty until we were seated?

I would have discussed this privately but you have chosen to ignore my private message so...

What can I say, came here with friends expecting nice food and a good time but that was easily and quickly surpassed by the El Bosc team. The food was some of the best tapas I’ve ever eaten and the sangria was exceptional - exactly like you get in Spain, not too sweet but packed full of flavour. The food was a great mix which all complimented eachother and the taste was Great, every dish we had was 10/10. The rocket salad, truffle arancini, patatas bravas, prawn tacos and olives were stand-outs for us. Cannot wait to return and try some of the other dishes. Great atmosphere too and seating not too cramped. Went on a Wednesday night and it was busy which is testament to this great little find. The espresso martinis looked great when being carried past. We’re from Wilmslow and it’s a nice drive but if weather nice, a lovely walk. Even have the option of getting a drink in The Ship pub next door...

Called in as we were passing by in the late afternoon. Had a friendly greeting and a choice of tables, indoors or out. We picked outside under the shade of the trees. Service was quick and efficient. We decided on the sourdough bread and four other dishes for the two of us to share. The food was delicious and, as in Spain, the dishes gradually appeared as they were cooked. The quantity and quality of the food was just right for us. Unfortunately we decided not to try dessert (a regrettable error of judgement) so I guess we will have to return to remedy that mistake.

The staff were a delight to engage with and answered our queries professionally and in a friendly manner. I would certainly recommend a visit but, from what we were told, booking is probably advisable for evening service.

A delightful little tapas bar. Diolch yn fawr and mucho gracias. Looking forward to a...
