Broadway Wok — Restaurant in Sunderland

Would rate this place 0 stars if there was an option. Clearly states on just eat that this restaurant delivers to our address.. we took time and effort to fill in a full order and paid to then get a text message saying there was a problem and we would be getting a refund.

We rang up to see what the issue was and to see if we could reorder over the phone to be told we don’t deliver to your area of Sunderland we won’t take any new addresses from there … sorry but if this is the case 1. Why are you discriminatory towards ‘our area of Sunderland’ and 2. Why do you advertise CLEARLY on just eat that you do deliver to my area and post code?

The attitude from the man on the phone was awful the customer service is...

I don’t normally leave bad reviews but feel I need to. The daughter ordered from here tonight for us. The delivery was fast and food was hot and that’s the good points. The chicken they use is processed like what you would buy from Iceland. There’s nothing wrong with that when cooking at home but don’t expect it from a takeaway when you are spending £30. I refuse to eat mine but from tasting it the curry sauce is bland , I don’t want to taste anything else. What chef would use frozen chicken chunks???? I’m putting mine in the bin and putting something in the air fryer instead. I’m ordering the food next time from a Chinese in the same estate and about half a mile away that...

Worst chinese I've had in a long time and it used to be nice...

Our variety of bbq and sweet and sour sauces all looked identical and tasted like the cardboard tubs they came in. None tasted like bbq or sweet and sour.

The processed chicken was overcooked and tough to bite into as well as tasting extremely bland.

The fried rice tasted like those cheap horrible microwavable packets you can buy in supermarkets.

Spent over £50 on food and my whole family of 5 people havent ate any of it other than tasting things.
