Food was poor quality and microwaved, cheesy garlic was pre sliced garlic bread with a cheese slice on top then microwaved = soggy cheesy garlic bread! Chips were home made but chewy and not crispy. The grease on the plate was a dark brown colour and looked like the oil in the deep fat dryer hasn't been changed in decades, the peas looked loads of different colours too which was odd (see pics) ... Asked to change chicken on the mixed grill to something else or gammon and the woman who was in the kitchen said, 'it comes as it it and can't be changed!' And I'm not giving you a full gammon! (miserable git).. My partner got the 'prior burger' and said it was tasteless... Definatly wouldn't eat food from there again, such a shame as it's a nice pub and the quiz on a sunday night is fun! The woman behind the bar taking the orders and serving the drinks was lovely tho (only been working there a week) , that's the only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1

Me and my partner are moving to the area soon so decided to pop in and try out The Prior. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, and the atmosphere was immediately welcoming. We had a starter, main, and two drinks each while we were there, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our first impressions were excellent, and weโ€™re excited for this to be our local!

looking really smart and family friendly inside, staff were very efficient and friendly, good was really nice, well worth it ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป good job! ๐Ÿป We had the small plates for ยฃ15, crispy beef was sooo yummy!!! They also do a really nice chicken gravy that goes well with their chunky chips! Random choice would be chicken and veg skewers that's actually an enormous meal!

We came for Sunday lunch yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a smile from the staff as soon as we walked through the door, Really good value for money and super tasty! Crispy prawns to start and they were bursting with flavour. We both had pork dinners, the meat just melted in your mouth but the star of the show was the roast potato's. we added extras like pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese which were again delicious. lovely crispy bacon. 5 star service and 5 star food. We will ABSOLUTELY be returning! Well done to the team for working hard together since the reopen. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป see you again next week! Get booked in as...

We came here for Sunday lunch 2 weeks ago and we were most disappointed after always having a gorgeous lunch with plenty of fresh vegetables, the menu had changed sadly for the worst, so we thought, and for ยฃ12 odd each for 1 course was a rip off,2 slices of beef,1 small Yorkshire pud and roasted veg that all tasted the same, smaller portions than we used to have, so sadly won't be back for Sunday lunch again unless it goes back to normal, i did raise this with the barman and he was apologetic, actually a really nice guy,,we ate it but not impressed with it at all and definitely not...
