Used to work in this place when it actually resembled a restaurant but I'm afraid it looks anything but now..
I was in a few days ago and ordered a double sausage & egg mcmuffin breakfast and the service was prompt and the food itself was excellent.
The sausage patties and egg were piping hot as well as the hash brown and the flat white coffee was delicious.. The price at £4.99 and given today's soaring cost of living prices, was excellent value for money..
The decor I have to say is unbelievably awful and one can only assume the people that designed that layout are on some serious narcotics and should be designing public latrines, not family orientated fast food restaurants.
What in God's name were they thinking and at first I wasn't sure whether to eat food or take a leak first.
As well feeling like you're inside a giant lavatory, the decor itself is drab and not very bright and not particularly inspiring..
Some would say it's all about the food and not the surroundings, but I beg to differ and if you feel good about the place where you are then the food will taste even better and make you want to return..
Whichever employee in senior management at McDonald's signed this off needs to be made to explain to customers exactly why they chose that design and if I were in charge I would make exactly sure they did just that..
Overall summation..
Surroundings and decor 0 out of 10..
Quality of food and service...
Read morethe food was okay other than the chips they were cold and js not nice so ended up throwing them away. ashton markets mcdonald’s had disgraceful service. i did cover our number with the receipt and that is my bad however when i saw her bring out the food i was just about to remove it then she just started giving cheek to a 15 year old girl (me). i was there with my sister and we both just laughed it off. then she came back with someone elses order and she stared at us with a smug face. she didnt take her eyes off us, realistically she should of been looking at the person she was giving the order to but she didnt she just stared at me then started smiling and it actually made me feel uncomfortable. also she wasnt wearing a hair net and i did find a blonde grey hair in my food which i think is quite disgusting and unhygienic. i just wanted service with a smile on their face and being told to enjoy but i got the opposite. i do understand i covered the number but like i said i was about to remove it there was just no need for the rudeness anyway im just 15 trying get some food they will be lucky if i attend...
Read moreService is pretty decent but most of the customers are rude and not alternative tolerant/positive. I've seen loads of freaks and weirdos (in a good way) come and go and yet most of the regular teens and young people are still rude bullies who treat us and the staff like garbage.the staff try their best to deal with them and they have even tried playing classical music to supposedly calm them all. Good call. But they play the same boring and rather depressing music over and over again which doesn't make me calm. If you want a suggestion to create a calm environment I'd say just play very quiet subtle meditation music or easy listening or no music at all. I find I'm calmer when a shop or restaurant is quiet with no music. You already have loads of people talking.
The toilets are always wet, dirty and with no toilet rolls.
I have to use the disabled toilets and the toilet bowl itself is way too close to the wall and the big wall fitting with toilet inside sticks out and the sink is right Infront of it. There's no way any larger wheelchair bound or disabled ...
