The Jolly Hatters Inn — Restaurant in Tameside

2nd time I’ve felt very unwelcome by being told I’m sat at a reserved table. There will not be a 3rd time!!! 1st time was a quiet Tuesday evening. sat a table and a reserved sign was promptly put on the table I was sat at to be told I’d have to move when certain customers come in. Tonight was the 2nd time! Balloons, flower pot put on the table we had been sat at for 2 hours (2 couples spending money over the bar) to be told we’re okay for now as the people who the table was reserved for are not in the pub yet!!! When questioned we were told they had a function on. Public House!! Not a private room. They are a back street pub that want people in especially when they are showing football but out as soon as the final whistle goes they want the football fans out!! I have not been in the Jolly Hatters for years. As the Jolly is so close to our home and it was my husband's birthday we thought we would give it a go.

It was a lovely evening.... full of old neighbours we had not seen in ages. The Pub was clean and tidy and nicely decorated. Tuesday night was a quiz night which we were unaware of, however we were invited to take part.
