What a place. It’s a real family friendly pub and a proper good old English pub. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and will always give you a warm welcome. The regulars are lovely and are like a family. Little John who comes in is always there to help anybody and will never see you without financial tips - Tamworth’s version of Martin Lewis. Lisa and Michael are also a beautiful couple that will always leave you with a smile on your face and are experts on how to grow pampas grass outside of your front garden, they also have a great fishbowl at their front door, always worth a look. Deb’s and Chris are also a lovely couple, Chris’ sausage is always worth a bite, you’ll never experience anything like it. Can't really speak for the food as I haven't eaten there in years now, but overall a smashing little pub for those looking for a couple of casual pints during the day or a chilled evening out. Can get quite busy of an evening and especially the weekend, but the staff and those who visit are friendly enough, just say hello and I'm sure they'll be happy to strike up a conversation with you. A dartboard can be found next to the bar, although be warned this is in kind of an awkward place as it's right next to the corridor leading to the toilets and small beer garden, so if you fancy a game during a busy period be prepared to give way to those wishing to use...

Paula and David were really helpful holding our hands throughout for our three year olds birthday party. Zoe was on hand to help in the morning and was extremely welcoming and knowledgable. As for the room itself, it is spacious and the venue has a good sound system. It’s modernised so it wouldn’t look out of place in a fancy bar. We managed to fit in a medium sized bouncy castle and ball pit easily. We also had a face painter and packed the place out with balloons. It’s a real community asset and I can’t thank them enough.
