Bengal Village in Lingfield is a delightful Indian restaurant that offers an authentic and flavorful dining experience. Located conveniently in the heart of Lingfield, the restaurant boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The menu at Bengal Village is extensive and thoughtfully curated, showcasing a variety of traditional Indian dishes from different regions. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries, grilled kebabs, or vegetarian options, there's something for everyone. Starters include classics like samosas, onion bhajis, and malai chicken tikka, which are perfect for whetting your appetite. The mains are where the menu truly shines, with popular dishes such as butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, and our personal favorite, chicken danceack — a flavorful, marinated chicken dish that’s cooked to perfection. They also serve a range of vegetarian options, including flavorful vegetable biryanis and paneer dishes. What sets Bengal Village apart is their attention to authentic flavors and quality ingredients. Each dish is cooked with care, maintaining the perfect balance of spices and herbs to give you that true Indian taste. The rice and naan bread are freshly made, complementing the main courses beautifully. For those who like a little extra spice, the restaurant is happy to adjust heat levels to suit your taste. Service at Bengal Village is friendly and attentive, making diners feel welcome from the moment they step in. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, whether you're new to Indian cuisine or a seasoned fan. Aside from the delicious food, the restaurant’s ambiance contributes to a memorable dining experience. Whether you opt for indoor seating or a cozy outdoor table, Bengal Village provides a relaxed environment to enjoy your meal. In summary, Bengal Village in Lingfield is a highly recommended spot for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. With a diverse menu, quality ingredients, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s the ideal place to indulge in a flavorful feast and experience true Indian hospitality. Don't order from here - the 4.4 average is very wrong! even phoned them back (only coz they didn't send a receipt like they said they would) and said 'oh by the way the chicken was cooked probs 2 days ago' - he argued with me at first, them admitted, no it was old and re-heated; probs the driest lump of horrid chicken i've had in a long time - one of the bottom 10 (oh, and it's always a curry, so a vast amount of others to compare with:-)) I only post if it's REALLY good or REALLY bad - it aint the first, so this gets a review!

The food was above average, tasty with crunchy salad and quick service. However the decor is in desperate need of some attention . Meal started okay with the normal popadoms and good selection of chutneys etc. However we were repeatedly interrupted by a waiter asking for our main meal orders. We tried to explain that we were in no rush. After this remark the waiter acted in an aggressive , unprofessional manner. Treating us more like his mates from the pub than paying patrons. He was strutting up and down, shoulder back and chest out , like cockerel that was guarding his hens. His customer relation skills were something to be desired. To cap it all , once our meal was completed he threw the bill at us and didn’t ask if we required anything further. I did complain to the management and was told ( with a smirk) the waiter was having a bad day . At the end of the evening the young waiter disappeared and Abu served us. He can only be described as a lovely chap but unfortunately could not undo the wrong doings of the arrogant young waiter. Would I return for the food , Yes but would I risk returning and receiving he same waiter No. Well done Abu for trying to save the evening but unfortunately you were a...

We went on Saturday evening after being at the race track. They were very accommodating given that it was later in the evening and the food was lovely. I had a delicious lamb biryani, but given that it was so late I ate less than half and asked to take the rest home with me, not wanting to waste it. Opened the take away box for my lunch today to discover that ALL the dozen or so pieces of lamb had been removed and I had been given the remains of a vegetable curry, not what we had paid for. I can only assume that they did this with the intention of selling again to some other unsuspecting customer. Shameful practice and taken advantage of the assumption that it was all wrapped up and I wouldn't check until later. Will not be returning and very...
