Baskervilles Ice Cream Parlour & Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Teignbridge

It’s a bit of a trek but we went before the main summer rush so there were no queues and plenty of flavours to choose from. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. The options are small (1 scoop), medium (2 scoops) or large (3 scoops) or a small cone or larger waffle cone. The flavours do change as they are made on site and their storage is limited. We had Malteasers flavour and honeycomb flavour (one scoop of each). The Jammy dodgers ripple ice cream was very very good. The mint chocolate chip was full of nice size dark chocolate chips. We also tried the mango sorbet which was tasty and refreshing. It’s worth noting that there isn’t any parking directly outside Baskervilles and on street parking elsewhere is sparse. Popped in as part of the Moor otters. Stood in the shop for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to return, eventually a lady came in through the back door and abruptly asked if she could help, I politely asked for a regular lattee and she retorted back that she is dealing with another ticket I'll have to wait, said that's not a problem and asked if I could use the loo while she finished, she said no, they're locked, asked where is a loo and she just said in town. When she finished the ticket I got a coffee and an ice cream for our daughter, lattee was very strong with coffee bits in it and milk tasted like it was turning (was on the side in the kitchen the whole time...

A great place to cool off with nice variety of ice creams and milkshakes, plus some vegan cakes and a vegan chocolate ice cream option. 4pm seems quite early to close in the summer, we visited last week and there was still a steady stream of customers wanting ice cream when they were trying to close up. Outdoor swimming pool down the road has a general swim session 2-4pm most days and people were wanting to come for ice cream...
