Never felt more ripped off. Other customers ordered milkshakes and we thought that’d make a change on a hot day. Whilst they weren’t on the menu, I assumed they’d be £2.50-£3.00.They weren’t the best. Half a pint of cool, not cold, milk, mixed with too much cheap syrup. They were very artificial tasting, Although they did add a split strawberry to the rim of the glass “for that continental touch”. We went to pay and were shocked to be told it was £11 for the 2. They were busy, admittedly, but the service was offhand to the point of approaching Fawlty Towers - the waitress wouldn’t give me a receipt so just walked off mid conversation, among other things. The young serving staff didn’t seem to have any training in customer service and acted borderline rude to me and other customers.
My ham egg and chips came as two thin slices of ham which seemed to have come straight out of a packet - no locally-produced fresh produce here.
