My sister and I, (both in our 60s) met for lunch today (29 05 25) my sister is a long standing member of Finlake and frequently visits to use the facilities and eat there with her family. Today she did not have her Finlake ID band but explained this to the hub member of staff (Micky) and enquired if the members discount for our lunch and drinks would be honoured. The staff member (Micky) very rudely replied 'anyone could say they are members'. I then asked if he could check on the system, which he ignored and walked away. Another staff member came to take our order from my sister, my sister explained she has been a member of Finlake for many years, this polite and helpful female staff member, who had heard Micky being rude to us, appologised on his behalf and checked the system, which clearly and easily showed my sisters membership. I had taken cash out of my purse to reimburse my sister for my lunch and drink, which the rude staff member ( Micky) saw in my hand, and again extremely rudly insinuated we were not being honest and said 'its obvious you are not not members because we don't take cash anywhere at Finlake' I was taken aback and offended by this comment. I was about to explain why I had cash but my sister asked not to make a fuss, the other female staff member, who had clearly heard Micky being extremely rude, appologised once again. I can honestly say this was the most disgraceful customer service I have experienced in a long time. I asked the female staff member the name of the other staff members name, as I would be posting a review. She told me his name was Micky, and applogised for his behaviour again. Bad job Finlake, it takes nothing to be kind! I suggest some more training in customer service for...
Read moreThe Hub is a shop/takeaway/sit in eating place located within Finlake Holiday Park. All the staff here were friendly, smiley and efficient. Food was cooked fresh and was hot and to the time we had ordered it for. I can personally recommend the Beer Battered Fish and Fries, delicious. Surprised, there were no salads, pasties, baguettes, sandwiches, sausage rolls, i.e., snack foods available for lunch to purchase and takeaway or eat in. It isn't huge or particularly well lit but has lots of foods (frozen, fresh, dry) and drink ( alcohol, soft, hot beverages) to choose from. Sweet little...
