Popped in for some lunch, really warm welcome from the staff. We sat in the beer garden which is larger than I thought it would be. Great area for families. We had tapas and some dirty fries and we're not disappointed at all. Would highly recommend even if just popping in for a quick half.

This pub has a good-sized beer garden, out the back. The cheese ploughman's was massive and great value for money. They seemed short of staff, but this did not affect the service in any way.

Great night out, really good buffet laid on and they sell Inches cider, one of my favourites. Good bar staff very attentive. All in all a fabulous pub

This is the second time eating here and first time was not fantastic but went back last night for a meal with family as only place that could fit 9 of us in at short notice. At the moment i am using crutches as have a broken leg. So arrived and managed first step but second step was high and after trying to hop onto it i fell banging broken leg and was shaking up. We stood there for some time trying to figure out beat way but not one member of staff helped. Once in we were shown to seat where there was more steps to climb. I asked a member of staff if there was a disabled toilet to which she replied no, on going toilet i had to hop more steps and my boyfriend had to come in with me and stop anyone coming in as was unable to get into the toilet cubicle and shut the door. There was no rails in there to assist me to lower myself to toilet and get off the toilet so this is where boyfriend had to help. As there were 9 of us we had to pre order and on the food coming it was slow that when mine came out 3 people in our group had finished eating. Son had tikka masala which was dry and onion bargias never came out, steak was cold, chilli beef was bland and missing sour cream and mac and cheese was plan and bland. The sauce tasted like jar cheese sauce as was not cheesy at all. Disgusting food and not disabled friendly and staff not helpful service...

1 person working bar, taking food orders, clearing up, serving food and front of house. After ordering homemade fish pie for my 84 year old mum who is registered severely sight impaired . Found a good sized piece of PLASTIC IN PIE. Reported to poor guy trying to do everything where he procided to poke the pie with her fork making it look a complete mess then handing it back saying couldn't find any more. asked to speak to manager would not be available til 8pm our table was booked for 12.30. Also turned atleast 4 people away at 1.20 saying they couldn't do food tho food was on til 2.30. So have booked to see manager day after he was there at the but he's the cook. WHO runs a pub, bar and restaurant with 2 staff. WOULD...

Haven’t been to the Sandygate Inn for years and just decided to pop in there this evening for a meal. It was a wonderful experience. I should have asked the name of the lovely cheerful young lady who looked after us in the restaurant, because she was excellent. The food was delicious - after years of being nervous about ordering steak (I love it but struggle to have it cooked just as I like it), I thought I would take a chance as it was really sensibly priced. Well I couldn’t have asked for a more delicious plate of food! My steak was cooked perfectly - compliments to the chef. Delicious desserts followed and we left having eaten tasty, sensibly priced meals. Will definitely be...
