Arnies — Restaurant in Tendring

I went to Arnies tonight for a birthday celebration, when speaking on the phone they informed me that we could get there at 6, eat at 7 if we wanted and have the table until 8. We did get there 20 mins after 6 so we were slightly late but we ordered no later that 6:30. The service was slow but the food was lovely! To be fair they were very busy. We were asked if we wanted dessert, we said yes and ordered. At this time it was 7:50 we were then informed that they needed the table at 8! We didn’t get our dessert until just after 8 and our second round of drinks even later, which was fine but because of that we were watching the clock. During this time I had asked our waitress twice for a jug of water but they were so concerned with rushing us out the door that their service was poor because of it. When we finished our dessert the owner/manager came over and said ‘just so you know we need the table like now-ish’ and handed us our bill. The whole time during our meal customers were staring at us because they were waiting for their table. They had obviously over booked themselves (or their booking plan just isn’t working for them) and so customers are paying the price for it. Rushing customers out the door is not a great first impression and it’s also not going to make customers want to come back! It’s a shame because I was very excited to go to Arnies but because of this experience I’m left felling really disappointed and most likely won’t go back...

Me and the Mrs went to celebrate a special occasion, we searched them up on Instagram to get more information, and the photos showed decent food that we would eat. So we decided to book a table and eat in there but when we got there they did not have any food that was on their Instagram and they had a completely different menu and the stuff we wanted they didn’t have and most of the food was just fish. So we had to go get a McDonald’s as everywhere else was fully booked around the area and stopped serving food by 8:30…not happy as menu is completely different and much smaller than what it states in their website! And no where on their website or instagram stated that the menu had...

This place is a Gem in the middle of Connaught Ave A much needed Restaurant/ Cocktails bar. On trend with what is needed in Frinton-On-Sea Somewhere to eat & or drink of an evening and to dress up with a real sence of occasion about it, very tastefully refurbished.
