I think we must have gone when staff were having an off day. A hot sunny day at lunchtime and this pub, a stone's throw from the beach had one person behind the bar and trying to do lunch service as well, needless to say it wasn't working. In addition to this, they had a lunch menu with about four items on it, not the menu advertised online or even in the pub, as they were "training a new chef" who, if he had even considered catering college let alone attended, I would have eaten my hat as it would have been tastier and better presented. They also had a range of local ciders, which, had we more time, I would certainly have sampled. Pleasant atmosphere, good prices and all located in a traditional feeling but light and airy pub. Can't speak...
