When your dealing with takeaway the one thing that is most important is making sure that the order is full and complete, I spent £97 on Saturday night and the order was far from complete. The problem is if you ring and complain it’s too late, by the time you drive all the way back to collect what’s missing the evening is ruined. The Saffron lounge was busy but clearly struggling to cope with the volume. I had already had to drive back once as I hadn’t been given my complete order and then to get home and find items still missing was beyond poor. The food was average at best so over all we were left disappointed. In the current climate you need to have your business on point and paying attention to the detail. Perhaps a bit less quantity and attention to the quality of both the food and the service wouldn’t go a miss, I’m not interested in getting free food in the future as we won’t be returning. I work in a customer service environment and its vital to remember that you may have 50 orders but each one is individual and you must check and then check again. Once the customer leaves it’s too late. I wish you well Saffron Lounge and hope that you take these comments on board and make the very needed adjustments to ensure that your future customers are not left hungry...
Read moreCame here with the family Friday 18th October 2024. There was 6 of us all thought the food was lovely, received the bill which didn't make any sense, all items were added some taken away then added again further down the bill, asked for a proper itemised bill which was told would see what they could do. Was trying to charge me for more drinks than we actually had, questioned it again took the bill away came back with another price then offered to round it off a total of £23.87 lower than the original bill. Said about being ripped off, wasn't worried about what the cost was just didn't want to be ripped off or pay for something I didn't have. They replied they don't Intentionally try to rip anyone off, very strange response 🤔 almost admitting something. Staff very rude, owner was their that night and was hiding away in embarrassment as we see him when leaving. Think anyone dining here should Scrutinise...
Read moreEmbarrasing. I never complain about food, but this was something else. We ordered a Butter Chicken, Chicken Dhansak and Chicken Jalfrezi and you could taste that the same base sauce had been used for each of them. The only slightly average part was the 'normal naan'. We ordered a Keema Naan, which is described as "Naan stuffed with sweet spiced lamb mince" - but it tasted like that lamb you get from a kebab shop after a night out at 3am with a bunch of chilli flakes on the top. Yum (see picture). The butter chicken was bright red and unlike any butter chicken I've tasted before. We got to pay £46 for the privilege too, result!
Only saving grace was the delivery driver came to collect the food and apologise with a partil refund. You can tell he...
