Tabu wine and cocktail lounge — Restaurant in Tewkesbury

We went last week for a date night, we were told after 25 mins there was a problem in the kitchen and did we want more drinks, which we had to pay for. Took 45 mins for the first course of tapas to come, and by the time mains came I wasn’t hungry. Staff where polite but didn’t offer anything for the terrible service, three young men where on, and I could see into the kitchen no chef for a Friday night that’s surely not okay?

No cocktail choices either which is strange for a cocktail bar in dry January.

Came here in the summer with my partner. I would say the drinks were pretty good, my margarita was nicely presented and tasted good. Atmosphere was quiet but it was a midweek evening. Where I was disappointed was the food. We ordered quite a few tapas dishes and weren’t really that impressed with any of them. The bread came with a butter that had marmite in which didn’t taste good, as marmite is such a distinct flavour it might be best to put this on the menu. The fried chicken wasn’t good, very overcooked and dry. Just nothing was that good, and it was quite expensive for the quality. We are Cleeve locals so may try it again but probably...

Great little find, the perfect place for drinks with friends. The new owners have really improved the service, quality and overall experience. We tried the disaronno fizz, summer in glass and one we'll be returning to have. Whilst we didn't have food this time, we will be returning to have soon. Heard they'll be hosting greek pop up etc so exciting times ahead for this cute...
