The place is actually nice well presented The food was great but I personally has some uncomfortable feeling after I stood waiting to be served by two staff who were behind the counter doing absolutely nothing not even to a knowledge my presence. I stood almost 10 mins being ignored. I some how felt something I have never felt at a woman of colour. Two gentleman walked in and were welcomed with a smile and served. This Made me think maybe was standing in the wrong side of the queue and changed to the other side but came out I was not.
My husband and children had to come in to find out whether everything was fine. I explained to my husband of the situation how it felt. As surprising when my husband started asking if we were in a correct queue that’s when some one at the back came to serve us.
While standing looking confused few of the employees noticed me from The back hence why one of them came to help. I ordered the food and to my surprise I was even offer a free meal. The employee just said don’t mind anything and he apologised to me. I was shocked didn’t seem to understand myself or the situation happening. I just smiled it off. But all my years and life who would have thought KFC employees would actually make me feel or even sense some kind of racial profiling. None in the millions but yes that night I felt it and it actually happened but life goes on.
This made me clearly understand that I was deliberately ignored in the first place, i wasn’t in a wrong side of the queue no!!!
To the two employees that acted like so kindly bear in mind the world we live in today is so diverse to act like so in working environments. Total disgrace
Place is nice clean but the atmosphere made by the staff needs to be reviewed. Visited on Friday 10/05/24 at around 20:20 on my to London from...
Read moreAhhhh KFC. The biggest chicken chain of them all in the UK. Even so the quality can vary vastly between locations. But today we're talking about KFC Broadstairs specifically.
In short? It's decent. I'm not sure how many times I've visited here... But it's not a small number of times. And I THINK I've had an order be wrong once? And a totally unrelated time I think again I've had just a single memorably bad meal here?
But it's fast food. For the fast you have to accept that sometimes it's not going to be perfect.
This time and the major majority of the time the food here tastes as fresh as you can hope for fast food. Hot, not like it's been sat under a heat lamp for ages. And as such has a good taste and texture.
The staff have always seemed helpful and attentive - not like some locations where they seem listless and half dead. I know it's the make of the industry and those staff are not necessarily to blame but the staff heres attitude leads me to hope their conditions are pretty favourable too?
Again it's generally always been pretty clean - even mid-rush. Though the bins have been a bit over flowy before but that can hardly be helped.
Not perfect. But pretty darn good over all. And that's why it's my main local place to go if I really want...
Read moreAs a rare, expensive treat for two, I bought a box meal and a small four-piece meal for pennies under £20. The box was, literally, three-quarters empty - it contained a horrible and small chicken burger, a small sachet of fries (I paid for large), a small tub of beans and two minuscule wings. I estimate that the fries amounted to one-half of a medium potato in the nowhere near full sachet; they were cut so thinly that they were essentially fat bombs, having absorbed so much cooking oil. The chicken wings were so small, my first thought was to wonder how young the chickens are that KFC are killing. There was more food in the budget four piece meal which fitted into a small bag than in the (mostly empty) box, which, I believe, should more accurately have been sold as a kid’s meal. In hindsight, it is no surprise that, at the height of the lunch rush hour, there was no queue and we were the only car using the drive through. KFC used to be great, but never again for me - truly appalling value. I can ill afford to waste £20 and I...
