First visit and it won't be the last! As the name states its a gem! We had quater pound cheeseburger and beer battered onion rings. The beef pattie was top quality beef well cooked and seasoned to perfection. The bun was very tasty too. We had a side of onion rings which again were top quality and cooked to perfection. Not greasy but light and crisp I cannot believe I haven't eaten here before. The service was good but took a little time but that's only because it is so popular that there was about 10 people in front of us. Would give this 0 stars if I could. Usually, top notch food and service. We arrived, and joined the queue as it's very popular. 25mins I waited in the queue of 4 customers, with 2 people serving. It's clear they are not management, as they refused to take anyone's orders, just ignored everyone in the queue! I appreciate it is busy, and they wanted to clear the orders ahead. But after 25mins, they took one order. After 40minutes, I eventually gave up and left. You can't let the chefs run this place, it's too busy and popular. Need someone to manage the business and customers. Perhaps have one person taking orders, and the other staff cooking? Whilst I was standing in the queue, they messed up 3 orders. Although I was a big BlueGem fan, this experience has put me off and won't be returning...
