14.56 on 4/6/25
Firstly I Didn't notice I had been overcharged and when I recived a big breakfast rather then "the breakfast"
at first I thought....oh...ive been given the wrong plate... And then realised £6.25 plus £5 doesn't add £14.50...
At this point i then decided you know... I can't be bothered to get up and argue and decided to just not bother with the fuss and eat what I could...
But.. what would be nice is the menu that doesn't have a food name that can be misinterpreted, why call it "the breakfast" and "the big breakfast" why not small and large respectively ....
Any way I was served by a member of staff (lady with glasses) that looks like she's about to die of boredom
You know.... Not many people like coming to work but for most that's just a fact of life, and maybe being in a dead end job isn't for everyone but what isn't nice is being served by the most emotionless person I've ever met at a shop.
Barely spoke to me, No please or thank yous through the transaction except the "enjoy" as she slowly passed me the tray, just a dull attitude with no smile... No expressions.... Just almost fed up.... Having been in retail 15 years prior to my current job..... I certainly wonder how someone like that has managed to fly under the radar in one of the biggest retail shops
Anyway.... Good food actually, not greesy and just accepted I'd been charged £14.50 for a big breakfast and Coffe rather than £11.25 for the breakfast (confusing right) Honestly wasn't worth the effort of getting up food getting cold and arguing over £3.25.
Might just buy a meal...
Read moreThe food and the service was over all poor. My mum had a RAW, uncooked mushroom - priced separately from the full English - while me and my brother enjoyed well cooked mushrooms. Her scrambled eggs might as well have been hard-boiled eggs grinded up in a blender and just barely cooked - that's what they looked like. No salt, no pepper, nothing: it's like all the flavour was somehow just taken out. Just because food is cheap, doesn't mean it has to be terrible. Your food quality should be consistent for all customers. The service at first was fine, then when my mum made an inquiry about the state of her food, the server was acting up, walking away from her in a strop, saying that all the mushrooms were cooked the same, and if she wanted another one, it would cost extra! To summarise, the quality of the food varied wildly, and the service seemed to dip as soon as it wasn't about serving food or...
Read moreI often pop in here when I'm shopping, it's more out of convenience than anything else. The food is reasonably priced, there are usually plenty of seats available and there are facilities for those with babies.
I do find though, that it takes a long time to get served, more likely due to staff shortages, but they have a canteen style service, where you can pick and choose what you need along the way, ordering drinks at the till. They make drinks at the pay station, because it's usually just one person taking the money, making the drinks and them sometimes they need to take the drinks to the customers it's at this point when you feel they need extra staff. Your food is getting cold whilst you...
