Pizza Olivia — Restaurant in Tonbridge and Malling

We have tried this place twice, first as a walk in customer and second to collect pizza after calling the restaurant. In terms of the pizza's itself they are amazing!!!! Probably the best i've tasted in the UK that's close enough to the real deal in Napoli! The Ingredients always seems a good quality and very fresh. The overall ambience of the restaurant needs some improvement as its rather basic in style and decor. The reason I am giving this a 4 star rating is because of the customer service. The older man (I presume owner) is always very friendly. However the younger guy with darker hair needs more training. The first time we visited he made a mistake with the payment and started swearing out loud in front of us... obviously this isn't a big deal but in terms of customer service it's appalling and very unprofessional. He spent most the time sat behind the counter engrossed in something else whilst there were tables that needed clearing etc. When we called into the restaurant on the second occasion the the same guy answered the phone to take our order... he didn't ask for a name or a contact number... we could have ordered 20 of the most expensive pizzas and pranked him... It's a REAL shame because the food is excellent and I'm sure it's just teething issues, but I believe if you made these improvements this place could be AMAZING! I wish you...

Having watched and waited for this new restaurant to open we went for lunch today and loved it.

We were greeted warmly into the open, light and modern interior by the owner who was as excited about his new restaurant as we were.

We had a sharing starter of various charcuterie and garlic bread-pizza dough spread with garlic butter and fresh rosemary. My pizza-the cinquecento- was fresh tasting from the courgette, and rich from the baked ham and fior di latte mozzarella. The pizza base was thin and satisfying without being stodgy or chewy. My husband had The King. The small piece I tried was generously meaty and a little spicy. Can't say too much about it as I was concentrating on mine!

To drink there is a selection of soft drinks and, I believe, it will be a byo with corkage

The whole meal was authentic, tasty and fairly priced.

I can absolutely recommend this lovely new pizza restaurant for...

Possibly just had an unfortunate experience myself, possibly it was a busy day, or some other issue.

Was very disappointed with the pizzas we received, my partner saw this place on Facebook and we thought we would give it a try. The pizzas we received were completely different from the photos, even other people's photos on Google look different to what we received. It was about a third crust, which was rock hard, and the centre of the base was soggy, as I said this may be just a one off thing but for the cost (which isn't cheap, especially with a min order of almost £20) I expected a much higher quality.

The garlic bread was not any better unfortunately, was more akin to cheesy bread.

Would be willing to give it another go, but only if the prices drop, and the quality increases.
