Sandford's Bakery — Restaurant in Torridge District

One of the best places to go in this area to get cakes, bread, pasties. Its all fresh good quality stuff. I particularly recommend the Pizza. Regrettably due to gallstones, I now have a pathological fear of cheese. So am not able to eat Sandford Pizza in the copious amounts I used to.

Another recommendation I have is the caramel shortbreads. You get a LOT of caramel shortbread for your money. This sweet treat is not SHORT on taste!

While I'm confessing, one thing I have to admit is that Christmas does my head in, I kind of feel like Scrooge was a victim of the three ghost and if Dickens wrote the story now, Scrooge could have totally had the ghosts for harassment, defamation of character, and possibly kidnapping too. One of the best bakeries in North Devon. They always bring out new ideas for treats or flavour variations. There is a broad selection of sweet or savouries for you to try. The pizza slices have a good reputation and if you're on a tight budget there's always a short dated section of stuff at a fraction of the price but still very edible!
