If I could give zero rating I would !

Honestly the worst pub food we’ve had! X2 out of a table of 7 didn’t eat as their food was so disgusting!

They ordered the chicken curry after being told it was homemade! Now if that was homemade please scrap it asap as a microwave meal would do a better job! it had a vile taste to it and no curry flavour what’s so ever both got left !

The Sunday lunch came out warm not even hot! I specifically asked on ordering if the potato’s were roasted to which I was told yes they are as this was what I really wanted they came out boiled!

Complained when they put the food on the table and I was told they was roasted! Laughable!

They was boiled 100 percent no roast what so ever! Please invest in a new chef.

Service was shocking had to keep asking for sauces from staff as we wasn’t asked upon bringing the food to the table! No one checked into see if the meals were ok!

upon complaining to the oldest lady with blonde hair she couldn’t have cared less if she tried she said oh well the majority of people like it!

Knowing none of the two who ordered the curry had eaten a thing! She just walked away and said she will come back to take our desert order to which we said no thank you we wouldn’t want to risk it to which she laughed and walked away!

We asked for the bill to add insult to the evening the curry meals were still on the bill until I said noway are we paying for food that’s not been eaten!

No apology nothing!!

100 Percent wouldn’t waste a penny in there again wouldn’t recommend will not...

I've been going here for years; the staff are always very friendly, and there's a good mix of age groups amongst the customers so it never feels moody. BUT I have noticed some changes over the last year and would like to offer feedback.

I understand it's a family pub that caters for events, but management should do more to ensure parents are responsible for their children's behaviour. It's not acceptable to let them run riot, spoiling the experience for everyone else who just wants a drink or bite to eat in their local. It's a pub, not a soft play area.

Prices are going up and up everywhere, but it's harder to take when the product and environment are getting worse. I don't know if it's the beers themselves or how they're being kept, but whenever I visit the Moss Trooper nowadays, I end up feeling quite rough the next day after just one or two drinks. This doesn't happen at other nearby places like The Bridge or Stubborn Mule. It's not like it's ever really dirty, but it is getting kind of shabby and could do with a deep clean at the very least. Wherever you sit, you'll notice stains on the carpet and furniture and, without wanting to be unkind, it does smell a bit off even for a pub.

Sorry, I hate to leave what some will read as a critical review. Hopefully this will be taken constructively, these are all things the brewery or local management could easily fix. The Moss Trooper is still probably the best of the bunch among big brewery chain pubs...

Tonight, I had a really bad experience, I stood at the bar waiting to be served and I was blatantly ignored. After 5 minutes of waiting I approached the bar where I asked if it was okay to take a table. The response was very unenthusiastic and I felt bad for merely asking. The waitress was lovely but unfortunately not very attentive, especially after we had finished our meal, we were left waiting for at least half an hour to order dessert. By this time it was too late to order. after waiting a further 15 minutes I approached the bar and was deliberately ignored again (this was very obvious as eye contact was avoided even though I was standing directly opposite). I felt that it was an inconvenience for us to be there. After waiting a few minutes, I was addressed abruptly by a member of staff with 'are you being served?' I explained that we had been waiting a very long time to ask for the bill but there wasn't anyone to ask. The response was rude and I was made to feel like it was our fault for waiting for a member of staff to approach us. I've been here a few times before and thoroughly enjoy the food but every experience has been worse regarding customer service. I want to point out that it wasn't the waitress, it was the other members of staff who were very dismissive and unfriendly. I would not feel happy recommending this establishment to family or friends based on my experience tonight; being made to feel very unwelcome. I was very...

Another "Down memory lane" pub visit with Flic. Came here a few times back in 1974 - 75 when I lived locally and maybe once about 30 years ago. A J.W. Lees pub with excellent range of their real ales. Had a pint of their autumnal bitter "Bramble". Very good. Great value pub. Beer garden and car parks. Very pleasant visit.

We had a fantastic 3 course christmas meal last night (23rd dec). The parsnip soup was one of the best soups ive ever tasted, the turkey dinner was excellent and the cheeseboard could have served all 3 of us but was only supposed to be for 1. Great quality, great portions, fabulous service, well done Moss Trouper

Large, open plan, 1950s style local pub in Timperley. JW Lee's ales, with excellent home cooked food. Can get busy but due to the size never feels uncomfortable. Always very clean and attentive staff. Dog friendly.
