Came here with 15 of us for an 80th birthday lunch, driven passed the Place number of times as I Live Local just never been in,I was sent the menu and was pleasantly surprised at the pricing, the menu had a good selection of starters mains and desserts and also special menu on the table one two or three courses starting at £12. Our food was excellent really nice and tasty!!! I would recommend the lasagna but most of the family got a Sunday lunch and it looked and smelled fantastic, the staff there were more than happy to help with a nice smile to go with her very attentive to the table and all customers around them. will defo recommend this place and will be in again around the summertime for some lunch on their outside tables:) thanks for a nice afternoon guys.

Big fat ten. Had visited before I moved here and proximity was part of my consideration. Great pints lovely staff and a really nice and friendly crowd. The refurb has changed it a bit - ie layout had tak n away the games room which is a shame but on the other side of that it has really opened the place up. Great sunshine drinking with loads of outdoor space and for winter loads of fire places. Plum porter is top in winter and I will always mourn lees getting rid of the stout as it was tippity bloody top. Grateful that my local pub is brilliant tbh.

Went in the daytime mid-week. It was quiet, the staff were friendly, and the food was great. Nice interior.

Simply stunning. My wife and I ended up here after trying to figure out where to go for a drink. We couldn't decide so drove around for a bit and then decided we fancied something to eat as well. We don't live far away but have not been here for many years. How lucky we did. The pub is clean, very well kept, and the staff friendly and welcoming. We found a table before ordering drinks and didn't realise that they also do table service so it was a pleasant surprise when a waitress came over and asked if we would like to order drinks before food. We got our drinks and decided to both opt for the same burger meal. Food wasn't rushed but was served within 15 mins? (enough time to almost finish a pint) so it is obviously cooked properly to order and not microwaved to get it out fast. It was amazing, Fantastic quality burgers (they appeared to be hand made not bulk buy processed meat) the salad, sauces, pulled beef additions to the burger were mind blowing, I'm not usually keen on lots of additional bits on a burger but these were very well thought out combinations and every mouthful was fantastic (I hate pulled pork, but the pulled beef on the burger was just right) I honestly can't recommend The Urmston highly enough, we even bumped into some friends who were eating there for the first time and they also raved about the quality of the food. If you haven't been here before you should definitely give it a try, you won't be disappointed. (if you have been here before then you already know that :-) ) We will be back. There should be a 6 star option on Google for places that are well above average as The Urmston definitely...

Absolutely Fuming!!! I phoned up on the 15th August to make a reservation for 7 people on 23rd August, for a joint birthday and wedding anniversary meal. I spoke to a female member of staff to ask if I could bring the cake and balloons etc for the table on the day to which I was told yes no problem. I arrived today with the items to be told that no booking had been made and that I should never have been told it had as they have a huge party in which was booked 2 months prior, and if we wanted to have 3 round tables in the bar area in a corner ( this was not appealing looked like the drinkers corner not suitable for my child at all or the occasion) I had literally 2 hours to get ready and find a new venue to accommodate us I was more upset that I wanted to make it extra special as my husbands mum was unable to attend last year for the meal due to illness and it being my husbands 40th. We picked the Urmston as we used to leave practically next door and would regularly visit here until we moved away. The location was great with a great atmosphere and mostly because of the staff a lovely young lad called Matt and the manager (Tim) and Niamh plus a few others too My husband wanted this venue due to missing the place and we where all looking forward to it. Did the large party book 2 months ago or was it all about the money from a bigger party? I guess I will never know! Thank you to the new venue that really pulled out...

Food is always decent, but it's the service that lets this place down. Drinks and food were ordered pretty quickly, as it wasn't busy at all. Food arrived quicker than it normally does and was absolutely fine, they did however forget one item completely, so it was another 5+ plus minutes before it arrived. After we finished our mains, no one came back to clear the table or ask if we wanted dessert, we had to go back to the bar to order whilst staff were just chatting with each other. The pub still wasn't busy at this stage either. Order was taken and eventually the table was cleared and we had desserts. Again, no one came back, so back to the bar to pay and leave. We still tipped, although in hindsight we probably shouldn't have.

We used to come to the urmston quite frequently, but it was always knowing the service was slow, but the food was good. We don't come as often...
