Riverbank Deli — Restaurant in Trafford

I really like the coffee shop in Urmston meadows so decided to try the cafe but unfortunately it was a fail for me. I ordered chicken caesar but they had no chicken, so I had to choose between ham and bacon, neither of which were ideal. No salmon or other meat/protein except the pork variety…. It was also a weekday and not crowded so no clue how they could run out of chicken of all things. They had eggs any way on the menu so I assumed you could have them any way you like, but when I asked for boiled they said can’t do that, so opted for fried. Portion of salad was tiny, like 5 leaves of lettuce and a bit of ham. I was disappointed to have paid over a tenner for that. Really liked the menu, enjoyed the well presented and beautifully cooked food ( wild mushrooms superb) - needed no further seasoning or sauce. Attentive, friendly and professional service (charge included). A place to enjoy good food!

On a second visit, a mix up with an order - ordered a side dish but a main arrived with a second main to come! Fault on both sides, accepted the wrong main dish and stopped the second yet to follow. On a positive note- tasty but poor customer service- charged for coffee and service..in view of a lengthy wait and wrong dish. Third , next...

The Club sandwich came with chips was a gigantic portion filling the plate and was too much to eat in one sitting but they willingly provided a bag to bring the good away.

The Berry pancakes (strawberry and blueberry) were made up of three large thick pancakes. Unfortunately they were dry as they only had a small portion of fruit on top and one scoop of ice cream. Unfortunately the bottom and middle layers had neither of the fruit toppings nor ice cream not syrup this made the pancakes dry and a bit claggy to eat. I definitely wouldn’t order...
