I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an exceptional brunch at Juliets Cafe, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the delightful outdoor seating on the street to the mouthwatering smashed avocado toast, every aspect of this dining experience was truly top-notch.
The outdoor seating area at Juliets is an absolute gem. As I arrived on a sunny morning, I was greeted by charming tables adorned with colorful flowers, overlooking the bustling street. The pleasant ambiance combined with the warm sunshine created a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a leisurely brunch. The staff was attentive and quick to find me a comfortable spot, making me feel right at home amidst the hustle and bustle of the town.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the smashed avocado toast. I've had my fair share of avocado toast, but Juliets takes it to a whole new level. The toast itself was perfectly toasted, providing a delightful crunch with each bite. The avocado was impeccably ripe, spread generously over the toast, creating a creamy and indulgent base. To add an extra burst of flavor, they topped it off with a sprinkle of tangy feta cheese and a healthy serving of sunflower seeds. The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine. Every bite was a harmonious blend of creaminess, crunch, and tanginess, making it a true brunch masterpiece.
Aside from the outstanding avocado toast, Juliets offers an impressive array of brunch options. From classic full English breakfasts to unique takes on worldwide brunch classics, their menu caters to every brunch lover's cravings. The quality of the ingredients used was evident in every dish, and the presentation was nothing short of excellent.
The service at Juliets deserves special mention. The staff members were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience, providing helpful recommendations and catering to any dietary preferences or restrictions.
In conclusion, Juliets delivers an exceptional brunch experience that I wholeheartedly recommend. The charming outdoor seating on the street adds an extra touch of magic, while the avocado toast stands out as a must-try dish. With outstanding service and a menu that satisfies anyone's brunch desires, this cafe has truly earned its five-star rating. I will be back soon to enjoy...
Read moreWas quite looking forward to visiting this establishment as the food looked lovely and it had good reviews. However, it’s very expensive for what you get. Ordered the Turkish eggs which for 10.95 I would have expected to come with bread like the other breakfasts on the brunch menu. Had to order a slice of sourdough toast for an extra 1.50 which was the smallest slice of sourdough I’ve ever had (even for an end cut). Service is quick once seated but leaves you waiting for ages trying to get attention in a tightly seated dining area. Felt quite ignored and frustrated especially when they managed to finally attend to the couple next to me to bring their bill but failed to do the same for me. I took the opportunity to get out whilst they left to pay the bill given I was blocked in by their seats in order to go to the till to ask for my bill and pay. Staff completely oblivious. More focused on getting people in, telling of waiting times (they will not hold a table if you don’t wait in the small restaurant entrance where patrons are also doing take away). A shame as the eggs were delicious and the yogurt nicely spiced. But based on service and the mismatch of portion sizing I’ll give this place a...
Read moreI hate to leave anything other than a positive review at Juliet’s because I’ve been a regular customer here for around 6 years. Unfortunately though, the prices have risen so much that I’m now wondering if I can actually justify going back. I had a bit of a shock yesterday when a piece of cake cost £6.95, the cakes here are lovely, but no cake is really worth almost £7. I don’t know where Juliet’s can go from here - is a slice of cake ever really worth over £7? Will it be £7.50 next time I go? This has also gone up astronomically, it was £5 just 18 months ago, and I understand everything is more expensive, but this now feels out of proportion with what you actually get. It’s also far higher than other places I go that also serve lovely homemade cakes. I’ve also noticed portions becoming smaller here as well as the prices going up a lot. It’s something you notice more when you go somewhere regularly. I used to not notice the prices so much because I was always delighted with what I had, but to visibly notice less food and considerably higher prices leaves you feeling ripped off. It’s a shame because it’s a wonderful place, but I can’t keep up with...
